sorry to interupt the convo. i just need to tell some this and this seems like the right thread to talk about it. I just got home, me and 3 friends were parked up some back road tokin up. We had hotboxed the car with 4 bowls and were on our 5th when a cop came up. he flipped his lights and and 2 cops came up to us. when we rolled the windows down we could all see smoke billowing out of hte car. The cops got all of our ids and went back to their car for about 20 minutes. I dont think i had ever been this scared cuz if i get in trouble ill lose my scholarships for college. The cops came back to the car and told us to get going and have a nice night and left. I still cant believe nothing happened.

your fine. whats the worry? and why here, wait huh?

we had to drop off some paperwork to him. he's staying at a place across town. it's really not to bad looking. they house 150+ people and only had 40 rooms occupied. there were people hanging out out back and they looked pleasant and clean cut. it wasn't your typical soup kitchen shelter. i really do feel for the guy. they feed him and give him a safe place to sleep so he's one step up already. i still think he should join the traveling carnival.

Because being a carnie is alwaya a step in the right direction.
I came from a bad background. Everything in my past says either lifelong criminal or loser. It wasnt until I read the confucious line" anywhere you are, you put yourself there". Okay, not verbatim, but close.I put myself in prison. I had a child at 19. I created my own enviroment. If i got into fights with bad people, it was because i associated with those poeple.
When you become of age as a man, you must decide what kind of man you want to be.Plus, i was tired of jail.:hump:

Carnies are not your most savory people, though. :? Besides, if you're already the guy you always wanted to be, what's to say it's not carnival fun right now? ;)

fdd, you've gotta stop feeling so sorry for someone who is able to make his own choices. I understand, really I do. My heart gets me all the time. But at a certain point you've gotta say, "You know what? YOU made the choices that put you where you are, not ME." And then let people lie in the beds they've made for themselves.

I've been homeless, I've got trouble finding work, but I made the choices myself. I didn't finish college, I quit to work, and then I got pregnant. I was the one who made those choices and no one else. I was the one who made the choice to live with the person I did when I ended up homeless, I was the one who made the decisions to stick out a bad situation getting worse. It's one thing for someone to have sympathy or even pity for me, but another thing entirely for that someone to carry the burden of MY bad choices. Don't carry his burden, he's old enough to take it on his own and no favors are being done for him by continuing to allow him to manipulate (which is what he's been doing all along).
