Cops just left my house

so here's how it started:

dude's staying in a motor home in our driveway. we cut the power 6 months ago because he disappeared. he was staying with a friend we guess. well he showed back up about a month ago without even saying anything. we kinda just caught him sneaking in late at night. so after a few weeks of him coming and going without saying anything, not helping with anything, and nnot paying rent we got pissed. my wife went out and put super glue into the lock of his motor home. he ended up having to climb thru a little side window to get in. so now a week and a half go by of him climbing thru this window. he was using a ladder that was not his. my wife says "fuck him" and moves his ladder around the corner. he comes here and sees his ladder gone and has to use a little wobbly chair. so he leaves and goes down the street and calls his mom. starts telling her how pissed he is that we are fuckin' wit him. says he's "going to make my son an orphan". then he shows up bitching about "where's my vacuum cleaner?" then i overhear him threaten my wife again. we will be at the sheriff's office first thing tomorrow morning to file the RO. dude cut his own throat.

Wow fdd your bro in law sounds just like my brother he's always coming to me and my sister every time he needs a place to stay and he tries to get violent when we refuse to help. he's an alcoholic and he doesn't work. he's got a girlfriend he lives with but she gets tired of being abused. that really sucks when assholes like that cause problems.

hello my friend. happy "our" day.:blsmoke:

well that wasn't him last night at 11. it was his g/f. there is a note on his door this morning. she was pissed. she came by to get him. something about how she went to where they were supposed to meet and he wasn't there. says she waited here an hour with cigs and smoke. it says things like "asshole" and "i'm pissed" and "total waste of time". i want to talk to her and she if i can't replace the necklace i broke. i won't talk to him about it but i'd like to pull her aside and offer to pay for it. they don't have a lot of money and that was a "special" gift. it's the little things that really seem to get to me. i still feel sorry for him and bad about what i did. :?

I wish sometimes I wasn't like that too. That made me sad when I first read it. I just can't help feeling bad for people that - despite how they act sometimes - obviously need help. Noone needs a foot when they're already down. Well, sounds like you did your best to rectify the situation. Good luck.

There is a fine line between helping someone who is really down on their luck and enabling a loafer. Some of the homeless projects give life skill classes for someone like him.

Regardless, he needs a serious wake-up call to get him back into the game. You have now done him a huge favor. Probably a bigger favor than letting him live in the bookmobile for 5 years.

Good job.

Its like i have told my wife... Do NOT call them... !!

Unless someone is going to die or loose an arm or leg i think having them around is more of a hassle then it is worth... =]

Man who the hell invented this $#!t in the 1st place... Oh ya...

Human beings... =\

I have to agree with this. If you keep this up you will become an eabler and allowing it to continue but that being said it is very difficult when you are dealing with family to be able to determine and set clear boundaries.

This might not be what he wanted or expected but it is rightly what he deserved and probably what he needed. :blsmoke:

This is why i keep to myself. You have those people who you give an inch but they end up taking a mile. It's diff with family though. That's tough when it's blood. It's hard to turn your back but sometimes the best thing to do is part ways. Trust me i have been through situations very similar.

I think the whole threatening to make my child an orphan would have put me over the edge. Even though I don't have kids, I value my immediate family and would do anything to protect them from someone like that. If he were my brother-in-law he would have had a few .45 caliber holes in his chest. ;) Good restraint.

Thats totally fuked that you'd even need to do such a thing to a family member, what's even more fuked is that he's such an asshole that he'd force a family member to take such actions against him.

I agree 100% though,if you dont get a legit restraining order he will make your life pure hell & most likely take it to the next level.
