I went to the cup saturday to pick up some tga gear and was given 2 test strains. Only 1 will be run in this grow.I might tell the other if your interested.:weed:

I put 4 of the 5 of these seeds in rapid rooters a few hours ago. Saved 1 just incase I mess these up somehow.
Ill be posting updates as they grow.

Does anyone know about the obama kush? What the genetics are?

Im pretty excited to grow these.

I'm having a hard time finding some solid lineage on the Obama Kush... a few different sites have been putting out different lineages for it.

Renamed Abusive OG cut
Renamed Purple Kush cut
hybrid skunk select mother crossed with Afghani x OG Kush

all i have seen about it... hopefully that might narrow it down? lol

Good question on this, I wouldn't try to duplicate it though - would be much less time intensive to take a 3 day (straight) car trip to Cali and get clones.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember on the Weed Nerd episode a while back (summer of last year) Sub announced he had tester beans of pre98 bubba x querkle and he mentioned it as Obama Kush... That could be what it is.

Obama Kush is a cut from the Portland area, I think it's Bubba Kush x Grape Ape?

so it's similar to the BKQ, not the same.... The Obama Kush is a Big yielder too.

would like to see jack herer x jack the ripper. could call it Jack of All Trades lol.
Why would you (herer x jack the ripper) when jacks cleaner is one of the X in Jack the ripper..

Genetics for Jacks Cleaner: JTR (male) x (Jack Herer x Northern Lights x Purple Haze x Lambsbread x Pluton)

Any particular reason you'd want to throw Herer back in? I have to ask. (Jacks Cleaner is brought to you by RIU's own subcool)

I was gonna post the same thing Figong :) I'm more curious why they are even doing a Jack Herer cross... must be from a unique cutting.

Jack herer is like a 12 week strain, Jack the Ripper or Space Queen would shorten the flowering cycle I'm guessing. C-99 is a derivative of Jack Herer, and some pheno's flower at about 7 weeks.

Same for apollo jay... i didn't realize original jack herer was 12 weeks I assumed based on offspring shorter.. .so can def see that... but that was kinda my point a lot of jack already in tga strains, and a lot of jack herer versions out there by other breeders, so i'm figuring they're starting off something a little special... but maybe they just always wanted a shorter flowering jack herer.

I mean, Jack Herer is supposed to be a little spicier and hazier in addition to the fruityness it brings. But your right, maybe it's a special Jack pheno. There really is a lot of Jack throughout the seedlines, they just exhibit the varying degrees of special traits brought forward through the Brother's Grimm work.

I should mention that i was going off Sannie's Jack as it is a 12 weeker, the Sensi version says 70 days for most of the pheno's.
