This update is a catch 22 it has been lonnnng over due since showing the big cmh room which is a big difference from the very nice situation I have going on in the indagro side of things lol. My plants have taken the F over! 20 gal has proven one thing huge fucking plants....now giving them only one extra week of veg than usual annnd the addition of 20 gal pot size made these girls absolutely out of control.
So I NEED some input here!! The pic below will without a doubt show you the dilemma I face. They are day 11 since flip, same as my indagro side (indagro had 2 weeks less veg and are in 7 gal so they are big plants but well within the range I like)

First option: I could top the shit out of all 8 plants bringing them down 12" or more. At day 11 since flip not sure how that effects things as i have never topped after veg.
Second option: Hack down my two strawberry cough that are very stretchy and showing the least amount of health, allowing the remaining 6 plants to be spread a little under the three lights. 2 plants per light.
Third option: Keep the biggest/ healthiest 3 plants and slightly scrog them out one plant per light. I'm assuming if spread out correctly these monsters will fill up a 4x4ft area each by the end of stretch (no joke) Sorry for the blurry image but the point still gets across lol

yikes....... topping will drastically hurt your yield at this point/lost bud sites.........option two seems the lesser of the evils, then just heavy training/monstercropping till the end imo.

good luck coco

@Cococola36

.... what in the F are you doing growing indoor with 20gal pots?!
LOL

An interesting find on your part, nonetheless; more available volume for roots and micros equals larger plants.

Now to ponder about dinosaurs and question the various factors that allowed them to shit turds as big as SUVs (currently thinking of the longneck herbies).
Hahahaha you know i didn't expect the large growth spurt from the size they were when i transplanted lol 20 gal is def going to be my approach in the future but only because ill be doing one plant per light

Thanks Psuagro, I def assumed the topping at this point was a large no no. And def leaning on option 2. The last 6 plants after chopping the strawberry are just tooo luscious to take any more down. So Ill have 6 , two per light and crop them down through the cages. It wont be fun but it should really help. I guess if anything, if i can pull this off yields shouldnt be an issue haha

So I'll have to get a picture up tomorrow of the veg, they look great but...unfortunately some leaves have burnt tips or so I think. The leaves have a nice green to them but the lower older leaves have a slight fade to lighter green towards the tip. I first thought not even nitrogen but the very tips are yellow and brownish. The reason I find this odd is i have been using a low dosage around .8 ec so how can they have nute burn? I always thought yellow or brown tips meant over ferts...so I haven't upped my dosage any .

What are your canopy temps like?? seems that evaporation has slowed, lower the IG 420 to boost light absorption(dli)/soil temps IMO..........it's a quick check to see if it's the culprit.

good luck

Figured since this update had a mix of everything for the most part that it deserved to be in my original thread, so here's a vid update of my new veg area/ cob flower area (which will eventually be for veg as well) I was a bit off in this video lol, crazy headache had me in a funk. The cob is actually on day 23 not 20 :eyesmoke:

Ok sooo a bit over a month hiatus oops...but sometimes you need to regroup! Much explanation in the video and I'm medicated so bare with me and my east coast accent haha :bigjoint:
Some pics of the ufo leds mentioned for supplemental lighting after cmh turns off, followed by 5-7minutes of far red once all lights are out

My new veg under the vero 29 set up, the two plants in the back are critical sensi star in 7gal coco, the back left was under 4200k cmh vs the back right under the 3500k vero 29 cobs from clone first day out of the dome. The cmh seems to have larger foliage growth but much longer node spacing with less branching, while the cob is nice and tight which i prefer. The other two plants are Ice bomb front left and Headband front right, thanks to a good friend of mine i'll be keeping his genetics alive while he's away in Cali of all beautiful places due to his job. And last but not least some nice cuts in the dome :weed:

Edit: I'm pretty sure I always had 3100k cmh in the middle hood :eyesmoke: video mistake lol

Day 14 since flip, time flies when your makin nugs :weed: (corny) , Im already feeding every other day in these big pots so fingers crossed for a good one! Its odd because I seem to do better in the warmer months of the year go figure...I didn't realize my cam can do full hd at 60fps after messing with settings so this video "should" be nice quality, youtube has stepped up there game I feel like too.

Thanks man , it's pretty insane to see, in all the years I've grown I personally haven't seen a strain begin flowering purple until now. As mentioned in the vid I got backcrossed seeds from a good buddy, but they are for sale at firestax.com "buckeye purple"
