i've used the heavy duty tomato cages from lowes before and
they worked just fine. you could still move the plants in and out
and if you really wanted to you could add a piece of snow fencing
over the cage.

Much needed update, sorry for the hiatus.....alot of stuff going on lately. Especially trimming. Now that everything has been completely dried and semi cured for a couple weeks now the final tally came down to 51 zips between the 8 plants. A basic layman's terms gpw of .55. Kind of a bummer, but i think its to my lack of knowledge growing blue dream. From what i hear and have seen on here, the yields can be great. But i averaged 6.35 per plant....but the 3 blue dream came in at an average of 4.75 per plant. So the critical sensi reigned supreme in my room with 9.2 on the biggest, and 7.3 on the lowest. Quality also fell short with my blue dream which is also def grower error, most likely taken too early. My buds get big and thats great in theory but "bud rot" has been a big enemy of mine and has caused me to chop early too many times. So now much bigger precautions will be taken. Thanks to all who have followed this thread so far.
Here's a sneak peak as whats to come....20 gal pots  (And a hint a new separate thread is coming :bigjoint:)

Still a great haul. I have trouble pulling the yield out of dream too. At least compared to what the world thinks about it. But with that critical sensi around you might not need dream.
Great grow my friend!
Thanks! I can't really complain lol. And believe me I hear you, the cut is supposed to put out, but not by me I guess lol. At least you got the nice quality out of it! Now the critical is def staying around, yield and put you on your ass strength lol. I have 3 small mother plants of it that ill be using under the indagro panel.

And the fun begins once again, the best thing about growing to me is there's always another way. The grass is always greener lol and in growing I like that aspect of it. I guess there are some wrong ways....but there are plenty of right ways. With that said after years of traditional bush style plants with topping and staking etc, I kind of had the "If it isn't broke don't fix it" mentality. But you know as a grower you can always improve and do better. At any rate the show must go on and here is my current process of trying out a new style. I have high hopes, pun intended 8-) Bought these cages from amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002716PH2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and really like the versatility. Can link them together to make any size I want. Spoiler alert this test will help me learn what's next to come (If i like the outcome), which is one plant per light huge 4x4ft plant style.
Before and After

In veg its start from scratch again as I didn't particularly like the phenos i grew out that are in flower now. I have been dying to/ and did pop Choco loco, Iced widow and Allspark. I also started Critical kush, which i grew before and loved the outcome but didn't clone it! Been sour ever since lol. Luckily Critical sensi star has been curbing my appetite, but it was time to get CK back in action :bigjoint: In the pics you'll see the many babies to choose the best of the best. And one clone of the cbd critical mass which i had grown and loved in my "hps act II" thread which is in my sig.

Whatever bro lol, your pull off of those critical sensi is like wahh .
While it has and never will be about yield for me that is damn impressive and would love a strain that brought in the weight like that and was still a fine smoke. Still finding my own way so to speak but you seem to gave it down to a wash and repeat type deal, pretty jelly if you cant tell lol.

Years of indoor trial and error my man. I still make mistakes but that failure brings success! Def can't beat genetics that put out and with potent quality smoke

^^^Id say blame it on the parents==== genetics are a bitch sometimes:mrgreen:
Not sure if it is the parents if its been run before. I like to start flowering under very red no blue just for the exact reason of stretch ever had a cabinet for many years 36 inches was the top of it. By keeping the blue out of it until the last 3 weeks I was able to keep my plants tiny but the blue brought on the colors of the frost in the last 3 weeks of flush only thing I ever noticed was foxtailing. my vote would be to get rid of the blue for a week or two

Those were new from seed, and thats my veg tent, but I always thought it was blue that kept things tight? Is it red? Once they get into the big flower room space isnt the biggest concern but i still love having tight internode spacing

Thanks City, I think this next run will be fun as well lol, I'm in the process of making a water wand system to ease things a bit. Will be less watering in between but a lot of water when they need it!

This update is a catch 22 it has been lonnnng over due since showing the big cmh room which is a big difference from the very nice situation I have going on in the indagro side of things lol. My plants have taken the F over! 20 gal has proven one thing huge fucking plants....now giving them only one extra week of veg than usual annnd the addition of 20 gal pot size made these girls absolutely out of control.
So I NEED some input here!! The pic below will without a doubt show you the dilemma I face. They are day 11 since flip, same as my indagro side (indagro had 2 weeks less veg and are in 7 gal so they are big plants but well within the range I like)

First option: I could top the shit out of all 8 plants bringing them down 12" or more. At day 11 since flip not sure how that effects things as i have never topped after veg.
Second option: Hack down my two strawberry cough that are very stretchy and showing the least amount of health, allowing the remaining 6 plants to be spread a little under the three lights. 2 plants per light.
Third option: Keep the biggest/ healthiest 3 plants and slightly scrog them out one plant per light. I'm assuming if spread out correctly these monsters will fill up a 4x4ft area each by the end of stretch (no joke) Sorry for the blurry image but the point still gets across lol

@Cococola36

.... what in the F are you doing growing indoor with 20gal pots?!
LOL

An interesting find on your part, nonetheless; more available volume for roots and micros equals larger plants.

Now to ponder about dinosaurs and question the various factors that allowed them to shit turds as big as SUVs (currently thinking of the longneck herbies).
