Climate Change.... survey, just a reason to raise your taxes?

He probably means the government sending his landlord money for investing thousands in solar panels.

But whatever it takes to make his point, yanno?

it's actually a pretty sweet scheme. solar city leases solar panels mostly. he's paying a fraction of the cost and taking all the tax breaks.

what a scam this clean energy thing is.

I know how Obama and liberals like to tell us everything is OK.
Just tax the fuck out of the working man.
what do you not get about tax breaks for energy efficient appliances, solar panels, energy efficient homes, and the like?

they are literally paying you to save money for yourself.

smart people take full advantage. retarded idiots theorize that it is part of some scam.

I know all about it. I have an array on my roof and wish I had done it years ago.

You only get the tax break if you buy it. Leases don't qualify. Well, they might for Solar City, but not the person using the power. Mine cost me 15K.

Because we work, buy good things to better our lives.
Why does the government need to tell you this?
Then again, some people do because they are too stupid to think of the American Way nowadays.
It's all about who is gonna give me some FREE money anymore.

Solar power is a great idea, don't get me wrong.
It's just a lot of our taxpayers are dependent on fossil fuels.
X those people out and the USA will have very little money.

We could always sell that oil we produce.
But, we wouldnt be saving the world anymore.

I remember the tax break I received from installing new windows and doors in my house.
$97.00

What? So if we lessen fossil fuel usage America goes bankrupt? I must not be following your post.

I want to say that my rebate for solar was about 800 bucks? I forget exactly. Just enough to cover the panel upgrade/installation that was required for the array in my case.

Even without it, I'd have done it though. I pay about 12 cents per KW/h from the power company, which generally gets raised 3% per year. I average in the 50's KW/h production per day on my array. What sucks is the power company only has to pay me 2 cents per KW/h I don't use. As long as you ultimately don't produce more than you use, it's all good. Spending extra money to become a net producer isn't worth it.

I wouldn't say bankrupt but there would be a lot less jobs.
Losing the oil, coal and gas gigs would badly hurt the economy.

I remember a discussion back in the 80's.
Solar could have replaced oil back then so they upped the price and it stands true today.
Almost like nuke energy.
Dangerous to everyone!!!

The govt will step in and tax and control this fuel source just like they will pot.
There is money to be made.
But not by the citizens.

a house with solar panels in boulder county is worth more than in other places. he might have bought them, but not likely. he is getting the tax breaks either way. told me that much over the phone.

CO or your county may have their own incentives. Mine was Federal. Would have gladly taken more.

Here, if it's leased, Solar City will require you use a little wireless box you plug into an internet connection so they can get usage stats off the inverter for billing (and monitor for problems).

Well, as it sits for me, I'm paying way less than I used to be.

What I'm excited about (and have been for years) is Fusion. That's a major Silver Bullet IMO. Even if they tax the fuck out of it and make it cost just as much as running off of fossil fuels do now, it's still a huge win on many fronts. I think they can make up the difference so everybody still has a rice bowl.

I have a better analogy.

If 97% of doctors you went to told you you had an invisible arm growing out of your forehead that required them to shove gerbils up your ass and raid your bank account or you'd die, would you go with the >~3% who say those other doctors had lost their fucking minds and had just dropped acid as a group?

Yes, yes I would.
Yeah, that's why you're a dumbass..

One thing the climate change "debate" has taught me is that you can get stupid people to believe anything, just feed em talking points and false statistics, their audiences' average demographic is 68 years old! LOL! They're not gonna check the stats! Feed em, eat it, cup the balls, accept it, that's FOX's mantra.

Eat it up you closet homo's. I'd respect you more if you'd just accept it..
