Well.... It looks like those of you world wide, that like to pay taxes agree with the scientists on climate change.... and those that think raising taxes to pay for global change, is a waste, you seem to be climate deniers...

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/07/23/climate_an_excuse_for_new_taxes_scientists_dont_know_what_theyre_talking_about/

So, where do you fall in line?

You standing behind the scientists that say, we must raise taxes to fix global climate change? You/we must act now, before it's too late?
or
Are you saying, Fukk it, no new taxes.... I don't care how hot it is, I don't care if humans have cause issue on climate to worsen, no way, no more new taxes.... they will not fix the issue....

You see.... The Climate Change debate has not fooled the world.... there still is hope....

------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------snip-----------------------------------------------

ETC:
Just like in CA where Jerry Brown gave the populous the chance to save water....
People will not save unless forced to save.... people mainly think about themselves....
Now, CA peeps, are fined $500 for wasting water.....

Now... there really is a water problem....
You must conserve and save.... HOWEVER.... it's too little too late....
The Grid is destine to fail....
Do you understand how the 'Grid' supplies your power?
West coast, Colorado River Hydro Electric plants.....
Lake Mead/Powell running low, when they get too low, no power....
Then the lower lakes [down river] that 'Must' have water to generate your power... they will run out of yes, water, and when that happens no power....
The Grid will go black starting on the west coast.... Anaheim will stay lit, and riots will happen....
The domino effect will effect everyone in the US....

When will this happen? the year is 2026... [I have a crystal ball]
So where will you be and how old? in 2026? Will you even know how to communicate without facebook, and not being able to write?
So what are you going to do, with taxes through the roof, and no water or power?
Your iphone will be useless....your stock in Apple is worthless....

Stop watering your lawns, brown is beautiful... and seriously, if you are under 30.... You will not be able to figure it out, before it's too late....because you think about yourself too much....
Just like climate change.... is it too late to be fixed? NO???? YES????
F it.... just tax me more please, I am sure the political hacks have my best interest in mind.....
The government always does what's the best for all the citizens.... right????

"So, where do you fall in line?"

unlike 99% of the fanatics in here, I think the Earth does some funny shit on its own, and I realize that man is changing some of the parameters for those crazy shenanigans with lots and lots of carbon, and other compounds. the Truth is almost always smack dab in the middle of fanatic ideology; sorta makes it east to find.......if you are actually looking for it.

and no...lol.....I don't wanna see bullshit graphs, or studies. is it good to pump all these chemicals into the air, water, and us? anyone who would argue that it is beneficial, is mad, imo. all that's left, is to argue that it is neutral. it does no harm. my common sense tells me other-wise, and that's good enough for me. :)

until then, I have Foghat on, hittin' the Jersey shore, an' doing acid on the board-walk..........................

I'm not convinced either way. I'm sure we're causing some type of damage but to what extent I'm not sure. I do believe 100% it has and will continue to be used as an excuse to get money and take land from the people. I wana take the necessary precautions to preserve the earth for future generations but people like Al gore are completely money/politically motivated bigots...

If 97% of doctors you went to told you you had a condition that required immediate medical treatment or you'd die, would you go with the >~3% who say you're just fine?

"Environmental protection and economic prosperity are not mutually exclusive goals. The EPA has not always been able to reach a state of perfect equilibrium, I think we'll all agree to that. It has however consistently struck a reasonable balance that protects both the health of the environment and the health of the economy. From 1980 to 2012, the total emissions in the United States of six common air pollutants in the United States dropped 67%. At the same time, our population grew by 38%. Our energy consumption increased by 27% and our GDP more than doubled in constant dollars. So more people, consuming more energy, admitted much less pollution without sacrificing economic growth."

-Christine Todd Whitman

Again I'm not denying climate change. "I'm sure we're causing some type of damage". But people will take advantage of the pot of gold we're forced to give them as a climate change solution. It would be naive to think otherwise.

How much money do you personally give to curb anthropogenic climate change? Do you have a $ amount?

Did you read the quote from the EPA Admin about how "Environmental protection and economic prosperity are not mutually exclusive goals"?

The bottom line is, if you're worried about money it's in your best interest, too, to reduce it as much as possible as soon as possible because the longer we wait, the more expensive it will be to fix.

I have a better analogy.

If 97% of doctors you went to told you you had an invisible arm growing out of your forehead that required them to shove gerbils up your ass and raid your bank account or you'd die, would you go with the >~3% who say those other doctors had lost their fucking minds and had just dropped acid as a group?

Yes, yes I would.

Climate change is real, it's here- and it's not even new. There are solid arguments and respected academic champions of the idea that human's early discovery of fire led to global warming that itself helped end the last ice age. I dunno about that, but I do feel sure that sometime within just the last fifty years, the earth went from a place mostly wild with human enclaves and settlements to mostly human settled with a few wild holdouts left.

The implications of this make the consequences of climate change seem minor and thus more believable by comparison.
