CC's Hempy Grow - Top 44

The plant starts eating itself near the end for more N, as I understand it. This is totally normal. Also.. are your temps 75-80? My Top44 leaves are purpling from extended cold temps. I've got mine at 67-72 degrees, though. I ask because mine yellowed before purpling.

Also, I tried a pinch of the Top44 today! I couldn't hold back and, even though I'm at day 30 or so, I figured I'd give it a fast nip. I did a microwave job on the tiny, TINY bud (jellybean size) 15 sec, then 15 more, then 20. After that, it was still moist, but dry enough to puff. I didn't fire it hard at first in the glass.. kinda licked the flame over it a few times just to get it a bit drier without burning, then lit it and voila! It was a great feeling. Not much in the way of taste (no flush, of course), but a totally competent, upbeat buzz. I was genuinely pleased.. especially since I had to go to work after that! :)

Ahh ok, I've actually been pulling the leaves that turn yellow, should I just leave them and let them do their thing??

My temps range from 70-80 during the day, nothing has turned purple yet. Yeah man my bud looks so tempting, i gave one of the nugs a little squeeze and my fingers were sticky as fuck!

Everyone will find this funny but I'm not smoking right now, haven't been for about 4months for this meditation/clairvoyant shit I do, but I probably give it a sample when its all cured and ready to go. Crazy right? I just love to grow for the challenge of growing something new and to hookup some nice bud for my friends :P

Glad your bud was good, I got about 10-15 days till I can harvest probably, then about 20-30 days to cure it. Can't wait :) :)

Been getting home after the lights are off these past days but hopefully I can get some pics up soon, theyre lookin REAL nice

Yeah man you need to leave the leaves until they fall off then remove them to avoid pests. The leaves contain sugar compounds and other nutrients that the plant extracts to the buds in the final stages.

There are lots of long timers on here who say 'when the plant looks like absolute shit from top to bottom, it's time to harvest!' Of course, that's in addition to you pistols / trichomes.

Haha thats a good way to put it I like that.

I'm just glad I wasn't fucking the plant up with nutes or PH or something. I'm gonna check the trichs with my scope today and hopefully get some pictures up since I'll be home before their bedtime. It's been 36 days from switching to 12/12 so I'm sure it's not near ready, but it can't hurt to take a look

BTW This stuff smell delicious.

Toward the end of flowering what have your PPM and PH levels been at? I'm scared to go above 500PPM at the moment, not sure if my plants will like it even though it feels kinda low.

Also if anyone has any suggestions for things to do before the end of harvest to pimp my plants up(molasses, 2 days of darkness before harvest, flushing...ect) id love to hear.

Plants are lookin better and better everyday. I checked the trichs yesterday with my scope and most of them are white/cloudy still.

Any advice on how people check the trichs? I cut off a small part of the sugary leaf right next to the bud and look at the trichs on those, any suggestions??

I check a few suger leaves from different spots on the plants. However... I am starting to see what FDD means about a plant "looking" done. This last time I just pulled when the plant looked "done" and it was great. IME it is always better to wait a little longer if your in doubt.

Yeah.. when the plant just gives up and sags like it's defeated, amber-ish hue to the leaves. Nobody said this thing was an exacting science. :) So.. you're rapidly approaching 44 days, eh? I've got 9 to go until 44, but I'm planning on starting my flush at 44 days (if things look decent) and pumping the hell outta the bloom nutes until then because I'm having some issues.

Thats true thanks for reminding me its not a science here haha.

I've read a ton about people checking the trichs and determining it by that but I like the idea of when it looks ready. I've def. heard that it IS better to wait longer rather than pull out early. Depending how the plant looks I may start flushing in 4 days and do this for atleast 3 days. Gonna bump the nutes tomorrow though.

I'll post some pics oson thanks for the advice guys. Always nice to check this shit on my lunch break at work and already see replies

You gotta be done by now. I'm 10 days flushed and harvested already. :) Measly yield, but hey.. my plant was stunted as hell.

Yeah I'm still holding out, some of the hairs/pistols were still white and 90% of the trichs were cloudy/white so I'm waiting till this stuff turns amber. Probably sunday Ill be yellin timber.
