Your Top44's look amazing, man. I'm subbing. I love the dark leaves w/ bright white hairs. Mine has a bunch of hairs already turning amber. I'm at 22 days flowering them, though. You know how far along you are?

I'm about 25 days into flowering so were not that far apart. Some of the pistols are turning amber at the tips but most of them are still white/clear. Can't wait for this plant to mature, I'm not sure how the bud is going to turn out but it's just been fun doing this grow.

Good luck to you man I'll keep up with your thread, post some recent pics!

My little baby pales in comparison to those monsters. Poor thing was stunted bad at the beginning. After I re-veg., maybe she'll pump a little more out. However, if I untied her, I think she'd be about 8-10". Not too shabby for a tick over 100 W. CFL. :)

Props!

Thats what I was thinking...I have heard to do it a couple days before harvest but other than that I don't think I want to just cut out a day of light mid grow. Yes patience is the key and I think i got it.

You know it was my first grow, i guess in retrospect I may not have needed to water with nutes while they are making their way down to the res but I really don't think it can hurt. I guess I see it as a soil-less/nutrient-less medium and it wouldn't hurt to add some nutes in there.

Did you mean 400ppm or 40ppm?
Yeah I've kept mine around 400-500ppm any higher and they start to show burn so I'm just gonna keep it around there since thats what they respond well too.

Thanks for stopping by appreciate the feedback!

hey no proplem...yea my water was 40 ppm no nutes but i might just try 1/4 strengh with my gh nutes for my new grow...maybe its speeds up the growth ???
:peace:

i thought this was a scrog grow?
Ummmm, nope, don't think I mentioned that anywhere lol. Just two plants, my first grow.

I mean when your plants hit the res you'll for sure need nutes in there. It can't hurt to add a bit now like 150-200ppm Once they hit the res you'll know and then you can play around with what they like. I kept mine around 250-300 the first couple weeks then slowly brought it up. They seem to like no more than 500 right now. Every plant is different tho!

Hempy is great, once you get the PH, Nutes, and watering schedule down, all you have to do is sit back and wait.

Wow looks great man, I know nothing about the SOG/SCROG??? method, I gotta do some research and enlighten myself on that! Keep it up,yo ur shit looks great!

Here are some pics I took a couple days ago....its looking great! I just picked up a 60x-100x scope so I can start check the trics! :hump:

SOG: Sea Of Green - basically, a shit-ton of smaller plants packed in together with light focused on those tops.
ScrOG: Screen Of Green - putting a screen over your plant(s), like chicken wire to create a flat top, which only buds go through, leaving most of the junk isolated below.

That's just a summary, really. YouTube has awesome vids of both. :)

Looks Good CC. I think you have a bit before they are done, but thats a lot of crystal on the sugar leaf.

Ahh, what are the benefits of growing this way other than having separate plants, better yield for a smaller area?? I'll have to youtube this after i leave work :P

yeah your plants look reasonable man, good effort
Thanks, I would say not bad for my first grow, I'm happy so far.

According to this strain its 44 days to flower, which probably means in reality 50-55 days. I'm at about 33 days into flowering so far.

it also depends on what your interpretation of when flowering begins is and what nirvana's is

Benefits are really to work the yield (both) and height (ScrOG). People scrog sativas a lot to really make the stalks go sideways instead of up. From there, like lst, the buds come out of the screen - usually chicken wire, or such - and up. For the Top44, SOG is a better method, if you ask me. It's pretty stout and low already, as you know. So.. pack a bunch more together next to eachother and let them take off. I'd contemplated a Top44 mini-SOG in the PC case, but decided to just do 3-4 bonsias and leave it at that.

I'm pretty sure it's first white hairs, then 44 days. I've also read that it NEVER finishes in 44 days. :( I'll be going by the trichomes, personally. As soon as I see amber trichomes on the leaf edge I'm hacking away. The biggest comment I hear on the Top44 smoke report is that the high never really peaks, per se. It just sorta goes and goes. For that reason, I decided to run it a bit long. :) Well.. that and I'll only be yielding 7-10 grams, if my estimate is right.

i get white hairs in veg so it has nothing to do with that, those are just preflowers, not actual flowering, its actually a little bit further along than that

The benefit is that you can get more tops in a smaller area with the light the same distance away from all your bud sites. Scrog is best used when there is limited space, but could probably maximize any grow room. It also allows for fewer plants with a large yield. It does take more time to veg them into the screen. Personally I train new plants with LST and then move them under the screen for 2 weeks and then 12/12. It is not for everyone and takes some work at first.

Probably so. It is always best to wait and let them be done when they are done rather than counting days. I know its tough with a bunch of bud staring at you every day..LOL

Yeah I mean in reality itll be ready when the trichs turn amber no matter what nirvana/strain says fpr daus, hopefully the sooner the better though :)

As for the SOG/SCROG method I think im going to use that for my next grow since I kinda have limited space...gotta do some research cause I still don't fully understand it :P SomeGuy, whats LST? Strength training where you put weights on them?

Thanks for all the replies everyone I love people hittin up my thread so feel free to keep em coming. I'll update with more pics later tonight possibly. Can't wait to chop these girls down and start curing but I'm gettin ahead of myself here.

Peaceeeee

My journal has a bit on the scrog method. If you have specific questions about it hit me up there and Ill do what I can to clarify it all. :) LST is Low Stress Training. In my journal you can see a fairly large plant in a 2gl container vegging, with its limbs tied down to it's container. LST keeps plants low and forces more side branching.
