I've seen fungus gnats stuck on em. They must drop off later as the resin dries more because I don't notice them on there when I'm trimming. The fan probably knocks em off. Or maybe the flies just got burnt on a light and dropped onto the buds, idk.
Pretty sure that is their life cycle. They lay their eggs and die.

So boiling water does kill the plant
Hot tap water's not really hot enough it cools to quick.. It kills the Root system not the Plant as a whole, like Ring barking a tree, it just stops food getting to where its needed so it ends up self canabbalising or using all available neutrient's from its extremity's to feed the Bud production, it helps as part of the curing process too....but thats a case of each to their own...bit like politics, starts wars an stuff..... and don't mention lighting.........hooooooo

Nonsense... Ever grow outdoors? Lots of bugs get stuck .
among other things as well, i had about 1000 acres burn down on my ranch, the black earth and charred mesquite trees were a beautiful contrast....but the finished buds would turn your hands black when you broke it up..shit! had to hash it all and filter the crap

There is masses of research on U.V a,b, & c, but a & b are the usable ones, from personal use it encourages Trichome's and a better plant all round, others say it dosn't, then it gets into the type of light and how much to use for how long and when.
i use from planting the seed till Harvest closer than most folk would have their lights...probly why i got bad eye's, so wear shades if you use U.V lights

smoking weed in general aint too good for your eyes.
if using uv id recommend from the start of flip all the way through. earlier wont have much affect as there really arent useable trichs yet
as far as effects, well it can help increase certain precursors but yiu still need excess enzymes and other precursors to go with that. it can increase overall resin production

am trying E.m.f resonance to stimulate or trigger the precursors etc... but i endup wiping my computers and a 4 1/4" Durban poison.
molecular resonating- summat like that anyway.
@qwizoking Cheers, Never knew about weed smoking being bad for the eyes, any smoke i suppose.

Must have been sedated from the thc and couldn't muster the strength to escape the death trap of resin

What brand of UV bulb do you use? Anything cheaper than the Phillips for $70 plus $25 for shipping? Don't get me wrong I will spend but always looking for a better deal.

I started looking through it before you deleted it and found an interesting article on biochemical stimulation but it seems dated. Site is a little tricky to navigate tho. Why do you think its a bad link?
