cannabis science

Just doing some reading and came across a term I'm unfamiliar with. A guy was looking for advise on a plant problem and was told it looked like his plant had low turgor pressure so he should water. Here is a link to what I found.
Turgor pressure - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turgor_pressure [From ZTE mobile browser].

You should compost some dandelion seeds and put them all over your grow. It causes more THC. Nothing like dandelion root in your grow.

@jj2012 You might want to check this bloke - RM3 - for when to Harvest, https://www.rollitup.org/t/are-they-done-yet-what-does-done-look-like.853978/ he might not have the scientific paper work but he seems to have Experience and Results from lots of Trail & Error......more than good enuff for me.
Don't Believe Every thing you read or hear- like dandylions.....that is a No, unless you want to make dandylion root coffee (use 4yr+ old roots).
heres a pdf not the best , but useful, in relation to the turgor, a lot of research has been done on Stomatal opening using light pulsed or steady with some good but not viable for the home grower results.

Don't forget pissing, crapping, and putting your lady's plug in the soil also adds to the flavor. As does Faygo pop. And add as much pgrs you can afford. Your buds will thank you for it.
IT'S DEW! Not FAyGo ! Use FAyGo and get hermies!
Look how many flavors they got now! I like the Black label DEW! Makes my purples taste like berries instead of the nasty grape!

Pissing=readily available nitrogen but can cause burn better diluted- piss in a gallon, crapping gets messy if not done right, better to compost for 6mth or so, ol' lady's plug is good, better to soak and use the liquid, otherwise it attracts fly's......tried it........:weed:

As far as I know, the female cannabis plant only produces resin for two reasons, to protect itself from solar radiation and to keep itself from drying out. So keep your plant as close to your light source as possible without burning/bleaching it and keep your RH as low as possible during flowering.

True , kicked my roommate out and he urinated on my girl. Came back from out of town trip. went in the back yard. My plant looked like it was stroke by lightning . Nitrogen burn right down the middle

There's also the reason of insects sticking to the resin, making buds into sticky traps, and for stupefying grazing animals. That's why it may be helpful to cut parts of upper leaves off, in addition to letting more light reach lower buds. The plant may interpret it as being grazed upon and respond by increasing THC output. I have no studies to back that up, pure speculation, but what IF? At the very least your lower buds would get more potent and dense from the extra light so it's worth a shot.

Anyone suppliment with vitamin d for indoors? Asking because humans absorb vitamin d from the sun and I am assuming plants would too. Could be nothing but might be something. Thats really why I want to know the science end of cannabis.

no insect i know of sticks to a cannabis gland. Even gnats are able to break their ferocious gluey grip :p

I've seen fungus gnats stuck on em. They must drop off later as the resin dries more because I don't notice them on there when I'm trimming. The fan probably knocks em off. Or maybe the flies just got burnt on a light and dropped onto the buds, idk.
