Doesn't shock me...and really I can't blame the investors who you were talking with. Investors want to invest to make money. Period.
I think you were talking to the wrong people.
I've been thinking about this thread. I think it has merit.
I would be thinking a non profit gig...

I havent given up yet!

I have a meeting with another investor on friday thats also a patient so we shall see how it goes.

Im not surprised either but as i told the last investor i wont give up regardless how many people tell me no.
Hopefully by then i will have my own cash to get started before the grants and finding kick in

Im trying to get away from illegal ways of living to be honest.
I have had the chance to be involved in a few large scale ops but have always chosen the high road.
For this resort to work and stay open i need to keep everything legit.

of course...joking on the room...
though if your a legal patient yourself....then why not

Im one of those people that couldnt convince my dr til after the law changes so im stuck.
I dont think it will ever be legal for me to grow so id rather keep all that separate from the resort.

What about setting up as a co-op...a private club where members are your investors. I don't know the the first thing about how it's done, but I know there are a few around.

the owners of the house right across the street from me on the water side....do some sort of co-op rental
thingy...where the same families rent the cottage there every year ...each of them gets a couple of weeks...
or however they split it up....seems to work for the owner since the place is constantly rented out...

I dont think im in the wrong for wanting to help people either.
I understand that investors are in it for the money but believe me my offer was more than fair.
I was willing to payback 200%

I was really liking this one...since it was not the usual bickering...that threads here
can evoke.
I think your model...is exemplary in the sense that people who need a little break...
in the day to day routine...and a break from their health problems...would have a place to vacation...
without it costing...every spare cent they have, to do so...like most...decent quality resorts would demand
with a huge /gigantic/amazing...benefit....its mmj friendly....

For every ten people on here there seems to be one of those.
I dont know if u noticed but ive really stopped postin lately on this section of the site. I have enough drama and nonsense in my life that i get sick and tired of reading the same stuff on here. Some people just love to provoke and start bickering.

Ive gone through alot in the last two years and it really changed me as a person.
I used to be one of those people that didnt care about anyone else but once i realized what a mess that caused my perspective changed.
I really do want to help people like myself that were given a shitty hand in life. The resort idea was really about me trying to give something back to my fellow down trotten folks.

Eventually i will fullfill this goal for myself and it remains to be seen if i can do it on a large enough scale to include others.

Right on...my fellow medical patient....whether doctor certified or not....
you should have the right to chose the course of action you want you life to take,,,with respect to looking after your health,
without question....seriously...its like being in grade school and having to ask to go to the bathroom...ffs
