Hey folks,
Just wanted to post a few day36 resin shots of Pandora's Box #4. Her smell is beautiful with both JTR lemon and Spacequeen cherry smells attacking your nose when you smell her. Just gorgeous at this point....

johny1212- Glad to have ya, and you will be glad you are giving supersoil a try. Not only do my plants look to best they ever have...but the system also works perfect with my life and I love the convenience of not having to mix nutes with every water.

ColdArmysoldier- Thanks! I am very excited to see what kind of weight she packs on in the next 5 weeks or so :)
Stoked to be here. I have been running hydro but I am going organic! Got my first batch of ss cookin. Seeds are popped so these will go into the flower room around Christmas. I have my last hydro batch still going but can't wait to try the ss. Sounds like I should go with 7 gal pots to be safe. Would 7 gal smart pots be ok? Can't believe how amazing your last grow looks;)

To be honest, I have never worked with smart pots....I have always used the black plastic nursery pots. I am using the #10's which I believe hold 7 gals of liquid. Maybe see what Medshed has to say on the smart pots. I believe he said in his older thread that they have some problems keeping the soil too wet....but I could be remembering wrong.
Thanks for the comments folks and I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow filled with joy, friends, and family.
Peace and Pot- Bless~

Hey bshdctr - smart pots actually have the problem of drying out too quickly for some folks. My comment about Supersoil staying too wet was with the Autopots. I've since corrected that problem with a combo of added perlite and converting the Autopots to air pruning pots.

I do use smart pots up until I transplant into the Autopots (actually only done this once) and I think it's a good way to go. The root mass gets very full. Johnny - if you have time to keep up with a more frequent watering schedule I think you'd be happy with the Supersoil in smart pots. I'm sure there at least a few folks out there that use that combo.

BTW - bshdctr I'm getting VERY jealous watching your Pandos turn to fire! :eyesmoke:

Sweet, This is great info! I will do auto pots since I don't have 7 gal bags. Just 2 and 5 gal. That should cover all the bases. Thanks for the input guys. I can't wait to switch to the ss! Have a great thanks giving;)

Nice, thanks for the clarification Medshed. I thought I may have had something wrong about that.
The Pandora really is impressive... Earlier today I was thinking about the process of buying the seeds, reading the Pandora's Box reports in the Book of Dank over and over......and now seeing the exact buds that I hoped to get, its just awesome.
It is so cool to know that when reading a TGA catalog to choose a strain to cultivate, you can pretty much expect the exact results that the catalog says you will get! At least in my experience with Vortex and so far with Pandy...these buds are exactly what I expected. Thanks Sub.

I completely agree with your statement about TGA's product descriptions. Every strain I've grown has been very close, if not spot on, to the description on their website.

Yo sorry I'm so late in here! PB is looking good man. Bummer you only got the 1 female but good it's a strong one. Congrats on the new addition to the fam!

I run Smartpots and can't say enough good things about them. My rootmass is INSANELY dense!

Oh and what CAS said, you inbox is full!

The resin tacos continue to build and the lemon/cherry smell is off the freaking hook. The fade is happening faster than I would have liked, but that will be remedied with bigger pots and more super soil for this pheno from now on.
She was watered last night with SUCANAT and citric acid and will get plain water from now on.
Sorry for the bad pic of the whole plant, I just wanted to give an impression of it's size. I can't wait to see what she does in a 10 gal with 60 days veg.

Bud density is building to an impressive level as well and it looks like I will be cutting down some glass covered, rock hard buds here soon. :mrgreen:bongsmilie
I will start doing trichome color checking once past day 50.
Report an the vegging Pandora #10 coming soon..........
Take care folks!
Blessed love:joint:

She's looking fine bshdctr! Pandys like their food don't they? I bet you're getting excited for the final stretch. Lots of fine bud/hash/medibles in your future.

PS - I think Snafu found day 60 to be the magic day from his testing. That's just around the corner.

Johny- Thanks very much. I've found its hard not to kick ass when growing Sub's gear.

Medshed- I top dressed to the point where I couldn't fit one more handful of SS to the top of the pot....and still couldn't prevent an early fade. She sure does like the food!!
On the subject of harvesting/medibles, I have been doing a lot of reading over at Green Passion in the "healing oils/extracts/juices/etc..." parts of the forums and have read some really interesting stuff concerning extractions from stems to infuse more CBD's, CBN's. etc. into medibles for aiding with sleep. I plan on doing some cooking/candy making with this goal in mind with this Pandora.....I know you are searching for some great insomnia meds so I am excited to pass any experiences/info I gain to you, as well as the rest of RIU on this matter.
The next crop will be used to make Simpson oil and I am very excited to share that experience with RIU as well.

Looking forward to seeing how the oil/extract turns out. Since you filled the pot to about 55% with super soil (correct me if I am mistaken), what level are you thinking of doing for your next run (so I can treat my lovely Pandy the same way)? By the way, I love the name Pandy. Just wanted to throw that out there haha :bigjoint:

You are correct it was about 55%....but remember that this is in a 5 gal pot and it vegged for 42 days after transplant to the 5 gal. The 55% ratio may be ok once in a 10 gal pot, although I expect it to be more like 60-70%. The clone of this phenotype (#4) that I just transplanted into a 10 gal I used about 70%, and the plant will get vegged about 55 days after transplanting before budding, so I'll see how that goes.
