Bring back the draft

Fogdog, Project Jade Helm is occurring all across America at this time. Some kind of an expanded 'Robin Sage' type exercise only involving much more than Special Forces. That may just be some new millennial ghillie suit....
Well, if he was special ops then I'm still with that dog. Hey boss, nothing good can happen over there and its kinda spooky. Lets go find some cat poop up the drive, wadddya think?

Still, I looked up Jade Helm and seems to be a pretty big deal. No wonder why Texas feels threatened by being designated an enemy held area while only the military base in CA is designated as such. I'll bet conspiracy theories are flying everywhere over this.

Is channeling young people through the military machine during peace time the best way for young people to get a start in life?
Maybe you should list the years in which America was at "peacetime." Clearly you dont have a true grasp on the wide scope of the military industrial complex. List the years, please.

It sure seems like you are trying hard to avoid admitting that my ideology is based in peaceful human interactions and yours is not.

One place you SHOULDN'T look, is in the mirror.

No place has a monopoly on good people or bad people. People themselves as individuals fall into the respective categories peaceful or coercive, based on their actions. BTW, why are you such a boot licking nationalist?
Owned that ass. Good job like minded person that is different in location, mind, and spirit than I.

The intelligence on this thread wasn't high before you showed up. Its all gone now.

So tell me Rob, what country ever in history conducted itself in a manner that fits your idea of society? Can you name any place of size, with a healthy society that grew, took care its young and defended itself?
Switzerland I'd say. Although due to the mountains they get a very easy way to defend themselves. Does that satisfy your 3 prerequisites of growing society, nurture young, and defend country land?

Switzerland is a nice place, I agree with you. It has a government though, so it's nothing like what @Rob Roy advocates.

Wow, you have trouble remembering what you said. What? Did you just wake up from a coma or something? You are the one recommending a peace time draft. I was responding to your comment. It was about the future army populated with draftees -- the one you seem to want. I repeat: And a peacetime draft? What kind of ninny hammer idea is that? What would you have those people do during peacetime? Is channeling young people through the military machine during peace time the best way for young people to get a start in life?

Bringing back the draft will provide an incentive for a generation to have a vested interest in foreign policy of the nation, and ideally, change it.

Richard Nixon was finally able to stop all war protesters in the future by listening to Milton Freedman by changing it to a "volunteer" (try to quit) army. Allowing for mass progandization of future generations. This is a far bigger problem than having a draft, because there can be descent for wars if we're all equally subjected to the possibility of going to war.

a better deal would be all those who want a draft be the first to step up

Please copy and paste where i said peacetime draft. I would like it to start tomorrow actually. Drafts throughout history have been used during wartime to gather extra forces.

That would be the voluntary system put in place by Richard Nixon now. But if first just means on Wednesday we get the alpha males/females then on Thursday we get beta males/females that would be acceptable to me.

I advocate that human relations be on a peaceful and voluntary basis. You advocate for something else and rely on a contradiction as an argument.

You think people that use force to encompass you (government) are needed to protect you from people that use force. Which is a circular argument. Are you dizzy yet? You should be.
