I am pretty happy I will get to use this thread a lot in a few months.
Garland's biggest heat will come from the DOJ alumni, the same ones who signed that letter about Trump. At first, they will write a polite letter and if satisfaction is not forthcoming it will be a public letter with thousands of signatures and TV appearances by members. Some members are on TV now as legal commentators or consultants, others like Laurance Tribe, his old prof make regular appearances on TV. These primarily would be the people Garland would be dealing with in the public and professional square along with retired judges, if he refused to act. He would be metaphorically skinned alive and challenged to duels (debates). Then there are the politicians and public figures, Liz Cheney would climb right aboard the poor fucker, dereliction of duty, no different than Trump! Garland will act.

Joe made the best out of a messy situation, the last place European allies would want to be is there with Russia on the march at their doorstep. It ended up fucking Trump's buddy Putin, in his zeal to leave as many landmines as possible for Joe. All those combat experienced armies back in Europe with their equipment, which they are donating to Ukraine by the handful. Now everybody is back home or on Vlad's doorstep to backstop Ukraine while it beats the living shit out of the Russian army on the battlefield to the point of collapse.

Right-wing Twitter users are weighing in to express their disapproval of the so-called bombshell "Twitter files" Elon Musk promised to deliver on Friday, December 2.

According to The Daily Beast, Musk was set to address Twitter's decision to implement a policy that would restrict headlines and reports about Hunter Biden’s laptop from circulating on the social media platform. However, the leak ended up being a failure for many right-wing experts.

Sebastian Gorka, a right-wing radio host who previously served under the Trump administration, offered a critical response to Musk's release after journalist Matt Taibbi shared a full Twitter thread about the findings.

“So far, I’m deeply underwhelmed,” Gorka said, adding, “We know the Dems in DC collude with the Dems in Palo Alto [Califonia]. Big Whop.”

He went on to reiterate his arguments when grilled by his far-right followers who were convinced that Musk's Twitter files were some kind of "smoking gun."

Per the news outlet: "Responding to a user claiming the Twitter company emails were 'a clear violation of the 1st Amendment,' the radio host fired back: 'Err no, it’s not the DNC asking a private company to censor has nothing to do with the First Amendment.'”

Speaking to Fox News' Tucker Carlson, New York Post columnist Miranda Devine also disapproved of the release. “I feel that Elon Musk has held back some material,” she alleged. According to The Beast, Devine also claimed: "sinister forces were perhaps controlling Musk after the Twitter chief took a meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook earlier in the week."

She added, “In particular, there’s a tweet in which Matt Taibbi says he hasn’t seen any evidence that law enforcement specifically warned off Twitter from our story. But that’s just not correct.”

Free Beacon reporter Joe Simonson also echoed similar sentiments on Twitter. “Twitter files [are] underwhelming so far," Simonson tweeted. "Just revealing what we already knew: Twitter was staffed by democrats who did the bidding of Democrats.”

Fox Business correspondent Charlie Gasparino said that he wasn't concerned about whether or not Hunter Biden's laptop had been "Russian disinformation if it's true."

During a Sunday appearance on Fox News, Gasparino criticized Twitter's decision to censor a story about Hunter Biden's laptop during the 2020 presidential election because of concerns about Russian disinformation.

The Fox Business correspondent argued that Twitter was wrong to heed the FBI's warnings about Russia's operation to undermine U.S. elections.

"You've got to say, 'OK, why would the government want us to do this? What motives do the government have?'" he told Fox News host Howard Kurtz. "I think there needs to be something a little more skeptical when government is telling you this."

"By the way, I'm just going to throw this out there," he continued. "Why do I care if the Hunter Biden laptop story is Russian disinformation — if it's all true?"

"Yeah," Kurtz agreed.

"Because at some point, if it's true, I want to know that," Gasparino insisted. "Whether it's the Russians publishing it or The New York Postgetting it."

lol I do notice that the Fox sellout questioned the American government on why it would warn Americans away from being attacked by the Russian militaries propaganda attack, but oddly (snicker) enough didn't question the information or why the Russian military would be turning them and their viewers into useful idiots.

@57:20 Tiffany Cross nails the problem in a nutshell with dealing with the propaganda 'both sides' nonsense.

lmao and again @about 1:02:00 talking about having empathy for people who have bought into all the propaganda. "Nobody said we should feel empathy for the nazi's because they were fed lies". MSNBC might have had to fire her for the whole chopping off Florida thing, but it is missing her.

Computer repair shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac said on Monday that he would agree to participate in congressional hearings into President Joe Biden and his son Hunter — but only if he is allowed to wear a kilt.

"There would be subpoenas; there would be an inquiry," Newsmax host Shaun Kraisman told Isaac. "If you were subpoenaed or asked to participate in an inquiry to say hey, John Paul Mac Issac, what do you know; what can you tell us about you found on this laptop?"

"Would you respond?" he asked. "Would you be willing to go along with this committee under oath and answer questions from that committee?"

Isaac said that he had made previous attempts to work with Congress.

"I have been working with members of Congress over the past five, six months to make sure that that they have the resources, that they have my side of the story," he continued. "And I've also offered to continue that level of support if they want me to come in and testify, I only have one condition and that is I get to wear my kilt."

WASHINGTON (AP) — An FBI informant has been charged with fabricating a multimillion-dollar bribery scheme involving President Joe Biden, his son Hunter and a Ukrainian energy company, a claim that is central to the Republican impeachment inquiry in Congress.

Alexander Smirnov falsely reported to the FBI in June 2020 that executives associated with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma paid Hunter and Joe Biden $5 million each in 2015 or 2016, prosecutors said in an indictment. Smirnov told his handler that an executive claimed to have hired Hunter Biden to “protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems,” according to court documents.

Prosecutors say Smirnov in fact had only routine business dealings with the company in 2017 and made the bribery allegations after he “expressed bias” against Joe Biden while he was a presidential candidate.

Smirnov, 43, appeared in court in Las Vegas briefly Thursday after being charged with making a false statement and creating a false and fictitious record. He did not enter a plea. The judge ordered the courtroom cleared after federal public defender Margaret Wightman Lambrose requested a closed hearing for arguments about sealing court documents. She declined to comment on the case.

The informant’s claims have been central to the Republican effort in Congress to investigate the president and his family, and helped spark what is now a House impeachment inquiry into Biden. An attorney for Hunter Biden, who is expected to give a deposition later this month, said the charges show the probe is “based on dishonest, uncredible allegations and witnesses.”

The top Democrat on the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, called for an end to the Biden impeachment inquiry.

One would think the Republicans would be conscious of the fact that an impeachment effort would uncover some of their own dirt.
But, no.

Until our universe jumped its rails and landed us in some strange alternate reality, the DOJ would be as busy as a disturbed hornets’ nest rooting out the corrupt legislators using this bogus impeachment as a distraction from their own high crimes and misdemeanors.
But, no.

Depends if the garbage that gets dumped on them is timed right when they are trying to distract from something else.

Pretty sure if we look at any major 'event' in any of the right wing propagandists 'official' acts (like Hunter's indictment, this last bullshit special counsel report, etc) it will have been dropped right when something else happened.

Similar to the day Obama announced to the world (sans McConnell and the rest of the GOP decided to play ignorant for Trump) that Russia was attacking our democracy also had Trump's joking about rape tape along with But her email's dump on Putin's tool Assange's blog. Even if it exposes the GQP or one of their ticking troll time bombs in some branch of office, they served their purpose to distract their cult.
