She's about 2.5 weeks into flowering. This is my first grow with BM, so maybe it's normal. I've been growing AK48's for the last year but I decided to try something new this time...

DAY 54:
Havent updated in a couple weeks. There has been a problem with both plants. A decent amount of leaves on both plans began to yellow and fall off. The yellowing started at the bottom and worked its way up towards the top leaves. I added some nutes and the yellowing has seemed to stop spreading.

Unfortunately the NL is still not doing much lol. Shes probably just providing me with extra oxygen now lol

And Lastly, the parts for my DIY carbon air filter came in so I got it put together. The air coming out of it smells a lot less weedy, but you can still smell traces of weed coming out of it.

DAY 59:
Alright so both plants are doing well. I watered last Saturday, and had to water again this morning. They both seem to love to drink lol.

So the BM is completely covered in these tiny little baby buds. Its gonna be my first yield ever so I don't really mind not getting a huge harvest haha. Its all about the learning.

Now, the NL is just unpredictable. She has been dormant and has shown no signs of life or will to grow for awhile now. She went through her preflower stage and never started growing bud. After going through a rough patch and bringing her back again she started growing.

Who knows whats in store from the NL. Probably just another baby bud plant haha XD

DAY 69:
Today we harvested the BM. Technically I started last night and only got through half before I called it quits for the night. lol. I decided to go ahead and harvest because I don't have a magnifying glass or jewelers tool to look at the trichs. so we went with the pistil method.

Some before the harvest:

THE HARVEST:
I didn't weigh any of if wet, mostly because there is a lot of stem. When its finished drying I'm going to cut the buds off and weigh them and start curing.

All done lol

All the really small buds/and trichy sugarleaves went into a bowl. Might do something with that later.

Last but certainly not least the NL. She has shown some decent progress in the last couple days. She has the tent to herself now and too be honest I think she likes it.

I know the yield isn't impressive or anything but I'm okay with it for a first timer. Plus we still have another plant cooking haha.

The Northern Lights is doing well. She has really became bushy and has a lot of bud sites. I wonder how much longer she plans on growing. lol.

Also picked up a GalaxyHyrdo 300w led light to go with my current 300w light. It is used and got it for super cheap. Works well though.

When using chemical fertilizer it's very important to be able to monitor ph. In organics it's not nearly as big of a issue. You can surely find ph strips used for aquariums in your area if you do not have the time to order something else online. Usually the first steps to diagnosing Any grow issue is to evaluate your ph going in and coming out. Nobody will be able to properly say what your problem is unless you have the ability to give more information on the finer details of your grow. I hope that helps. We have all been there and once you get things dialed in it will be so worth it. Don't get discouraged. You are on the right path
I currently am having runoff pH on two of my pots that seems extremely high (7.4-7.5 for one pot and the other 7.8-8.0) in “super just add water soil”. Just wondering if it’s best to just take plants out now and replant in new soil? I think the reason the runoff is so high is that i gave it organic plant food way too soon or way too much at first?

I also water when not watering with Nutes using Aloe Vera juice, epsom salt and coconut water. Could that have caused the increase in pH runoff? I say no only because my two other pots have a pH runoff around 6.9-7.0. These two pots however I didn’t go heavy on the Nutes as I did with the other 2.

Or are there other reasons that could cause a high runoff pH?

You do have some nutrient burn. If I was you I would do a feed, water, water, feed cycle. Starting with 1/4 strength of your nutrient lable recommendation. Around halfway into flowering I would crank it up to 1/2 strength on feed days. And maybe hit them with a full strength about week six before flush if they have been responding well to the 1/2 strength
Hey bros: question on watering. If your growing in organic, on your water days do you just use plain water with nothing else added?

Would you use Molasses every watering or just during flowering stage?

How about epsom salt, every watering?

I use organic plant food from coast of Maine but won’t be using organic plant food until next week, but every water I use boiled tap water, Aloe Vera juice, epsom salt and coconut water every regular water. The plants seem to like it.

However, In the beginning is where i muffed up by feeding organic plant food way too early and stunted and I think nutrient burned the meph vs alien (small) plant and the first sour diesel (bigger) (pics attached).

Would You keep growing the meph vs Alien or chalk it up as a learning experience and get another seed going (currently germinating another dark devil to take its place) if I get a consensus to thrash the Meph vs Alien. If consensus is to keep it i guess i can deal with a 5th pot lol. The sour diesel i said f it and fimmed it assuming it was going to die off anyways but seems as if it pushed through the nutrient burn and doesn’t seem like the FIM even phased it.

Have another sour diesel and meph vs Alien in soil and the seed has popped thru soil top. My concern with these tho is the fact that I knocked both pots over accidentally and the germinated seed/taproot was disturbed, not broken luckily. Would this cause issues/stunted growth/no growth? Just worried I’ll lose these two seeds along with the small stunted meph vs Alien

Also, the runoff in two of my pots are at 7.4 and 7.9 respectively. These are the pots that I believe I overdid the plant food and I think that is what causes the high runoff ph. I have extra super soil so would you just transplant the meph gs Alien into a new pot with 6.9-7.0 ph or just give her water and let her work her way out of the issue?

Sorry for long post. Really trying to nail this down.

The Blue Mystic was harvested way too early, like weeks too early. Also why the DIY carbon filter? A good quality carbon filter doesn't cost much and it would ensure no smells would get through. Also you might want to move the duct that sucks the air out from the tent higher, the heat produced by the lights is getting sucked down to the plants level. If you had the ducting on the top of the tent, the fresh air would mix in the tent better.

I concur on the harvesting way to early. Also noticed lots of burnt tips (i admit i skipped around post pretty quick) which indicates over feeding ,my guess on the first plant is had a ph problem causing lockout.Personally I would get a basic soil or coco and just use a simple plan like the G.H. 3 part or maybe a botanicare line, till you get few grows under your belt. I also switched to the leds and BIGGEST piece of advice I can give ya is raise the lights!!! A lot of your starting problems was caused from lights being way to low me thinks. But enough on my thoughts good grow and welcome to the club .That NL looks much better hope you have some patience(you will be rewarded for it!)
