Blimburn AK, slow upward growth? Or am I worrying for nothing?

This is my first grow, So i havent. I am germinating a feminized seeds bigbud x white widow and a heavyweight strawberry cheese cake right now to throw in in a few days. But Ill post a pic of what my tent looks like as of right now. I have heard that the humidifiers you use cant blow the water up or something, so your bulb wont shatter. Makes sense. But i know i need to invest in a cool tube and what not. I just dont have the money right now. As for the exhaust fan i have been looking into them but right now im sitting at 74-81 with an oscilating fan poking out the bottom of the tent, and one pointing at the light. I have been doing full 24, but as of today I am switching to 20/4. The following pics will be 3 weeks and two days, and then one of my tent. Sorry for not turning the HPS off >_<

Also man if you get some exhaust fans like one online fan to pull the air out of your tent you'll be able to keep your temps down. You need an air cooled light or just get an led and introduce humidity into your space by getting one of those humidifiers like your mom would've put in the room when you were a lil kid. They are like 10-20$ and produce a shitload of humidity.
Here are the pics

Also if you look at the second pic, top right leaf, it looks like only half of it grew in. Is there anything I should be concerned with?

Hey pauly man that girl looks pretty damn healthy. Are you introducing nutes? By the first signs of flower the girls usually use the soil up of all the nutes that were in it naturally. You've got some good growth going with her. Good job.

That's not my 5 week, mine is the 3 week. But if you were talking about mine then thanks! The soil I am using is batch 64 moon shine. I talked to a few growers and grow stores and they say that the moon shine is pumped up with nutes and will last till week 6-7. I plan on introducing a minimal grow big dose at week 6 and will probably throw some big bloom and some organic molasses around the same time. Might start molasses sooner to try to beef her up.

Why do people grow auto's indoors? Not trying to be a jerk, just seriously wondering?

I mean, you've handicapped yourself with a plant that is on a time limit, so if everything doesn't go exactly as planned, you have no time to recover from mistakes. You will get less yield. And you've got a plant crossed with Ruderelis that has little to no THC. I can't see the reason to do this indoors, only outdoors where you need to harvest quickly. You compromise and give up having control of when it flowers and finishes, get a smaller yield, and less potency to gain speed outdoors.....but indoors, you control the speed of finishing by controlling the light.....so why? I'm really curious, it's all cons and no pros that I can think of.....unless you are growing outdoors, then those compromises may be worth it.
Well they have a place in my garden . I have 6 strains of autos I'm about to run 35 beans . What Im going to do is start them 4weeks before my photos . So while they finish out on week 12-13 I'll have several scrog plants on 8-9 week veg ready to flip the lights . But everyone has their own desires

Obviously trolling, right? Personally, I couldn’t think of any reason for running auto’s indoors, especially for a new and learning grower, so I posed the question.

thats a lot of light for 1 plant.
P.S (dont feed the trolls) autos are fine
And instead of answering, you just call me a troll because you grow autos and I couldn’t think of a reason to do so. Thanks for the name calling, and I really don’t appreciate being called a troll. Do you like to call everyone names that don’t agree with you 100%?

And here ^, we have an answer to my original question. A valid reason to grow auto’s indoors that I hadn’t thought of. You can have auto’s going while your normal seeds are vegging, and get an early harvest soon after switching your normal seeds over to flowering.

I hadn’t thought of this, and it’s exactly the kind of information that I was asking for. A valid reason to grow auto’s indoors. Thanks for the response, THCbreeder.

In fact, that's such a novel and good idea, that I may consider doing so myself. Still annoys me that I'm called a troll because I couldn't think of a good reason to grow auto's indoors and could only think of disadvantages. I tried to be as helpful as possible and listed the downsides as I saw them, and asked if anyone had any advantages that I hadn't considered. THCbreeder answered with an advantage to growing autos that I hadn't considered, while bf80255 just called me a troll. SMH

Hey we are newbies to growing indoors. Autos indoors because they are freaking easy as hell to grow. Call me a troll because it averages about 32 degrees Fahrenheit in my non legal state and I will tell anyone hey, grow some autos bro. Easiest way to go when you have limited space and don't want to go to jail. Peace.

Yeah I know I was talking about your lil ak,. About week four she'll take off like a rocket. I've been nuteing all my girls since they poped. One thing I've noticed about autos is that they seem to take any ferts I throw at em. And they flourish. Good luck bud and keep me posted.

Not a troll at all. Brought up real and relevant questions for me to my grow box. It also makes sense to grow photos at first. That way you can veg longer to add some plant size if you mess up a bit! Autos not so much.

Thanks man! Haha she grew 1/4in last night alone. And hopefully as you said she will blow up in the coming week or so! My bb x ww and strawberry cheese cake popped today. I will probably leave them in a shot glass for another day or so and then toss in the dirt.

For me, I consider the autos the stocking stuffer of the grow room. While not the focus of the event, they add some fun to the occasion. And another side benefit would be finding another mother strain your interested in. For example, I received a few auto Berry Bomb seeds as freebies. Grew them out and discovered I liked the taste. Ordered the mother photo version because I liked the auto so much. Ok, its a stretch... but I did find one of my favorite strains this way while not really interrupting my then current rotation.

As for yields, I'm dialed in with a simple DWC setup so explosive growth is the norm. So much so I generally just keep the autos in my flower room to keep them in check height wise. Even under 12 ( or 11) hours of light they still normally top out around 4.5 feet or so. I just use some adjustable stands to keep them near canopy height depending on when they are started in there.
Anyway, another few bennies to the indoor auto :weed:
