Here's a look at the inside of my tent. Got the 240w Blackstar working my two autos, and my 90w UFO over the 3L pots with my seeds. Will be adding another 240w Blackstar as soon as it comes in later this week. Will be trying to figure out a good way to arrange the 2 Blackstars in conjunction with the UFO.

Blue Mystic Auto:
She's looking super healthy IMO. Putting off buds in all directions. Smells REALLY STRONG! Smells much Skunkier than the Kush which smells muskier with more of a PLANT smell.

Afghan Kush Ryder:
She too is looking very healthy. Spent some time tucking the bigger fan leaves under the buds so that they don't shade anything out. Snipped off two really huge fans from the bottom of the plant today because they were looking old and I figured that energy could be better spent elsewhere. I am very wary about pruning and do it quite minimally. I haven't gotten any solid arguments for or against pruning, so I do it as sparingly as possibly.

I know I am going to have to leave town for a week early in May, so I am hoping to have this harvested, trimmed, and curing in jars by the end of April. I am not sure how realistic of a goal this is. Anyone have a guess as to how much longer they are gonna be flowering?

Other than that, That's all for now.

HAPPY GROWING!!!

Never grown those auto strains so no clue how long. What does the breeder say? As far as the placement of your leds once you get the new 240, I would run both 240s on the sides with the ufo in the middle but only if all plants are flowering at same rate with an even canopy. Otherwise if youre doing perpetual, two 240s over the bigger girls and ufo hanging lower over the smaller ones.

Something like this?

World of Seeds claims that the AKR is ready after 45-55 days. (I call shenanigans because I'm almost 42 days in total).
Nirvana says it has a 5-7 week flowering time. (I think I'm 15 days into flowering.)

Also, the whites have yet to pop, but I'm not going to touch them. I regret not using the rockwool/dome method that I used for my current plants, because it was super easy and I could see the seeds the whole time as they were germing. I always get nervous with seeds (especially my two favorite strains ever). Not going to dig or poke around though, learned my lesson with the Pineapple Express Auto. Just gonna wait.

Yeah but it would be better if all the plants were the same size. As is, when the two autos on the sides stretch it might block the light to the smaller ones in the middle. Thats why I said if doing perpetual to get the ufo and small ones to the side like you had it before and just run the two 240s next to eachother over the two big autos.

The whites have officially popped! Itty bitty cotyledons poking out and reaching up for the light! Oh happy day! White widow and white rhino are two of my favorite strains. Can't wait to be chiefing on some delicious homegrown widow in the fall.

Just bought some FloraKleen from my local Hydro shop. Going to be getting water ready to flush my pots either tonight or tomorrow. the package says just use regular water and a teaspoon of FloraKleen and then just water until there is runoff...

I figure I have at least a month. Buds are looking so pretty though. Will post pics including closeups soon. I am waiting on a ratchet hanger to move my lights, but will be setting up for perpetual. Have the mini pots on blocks to get them close to the light. I am considering smart pots for when I eventually transplant the whites.

Do you live in a legal state/country? If not I would retake those pictures without houses/landmarks in the background....looking out for you bro...

Hey everybody,
I'm considering things to do for my next round of plants. I am definitely going to let the whites veg for a while, transplanting them to SmartPots when they are ready. Dunno how long a good time is before I force 'em into flower. Was thinking 4 weeks of 24/0 then switching the lights to 12/12. I want to sprout two more seedlings about two weeks before the light switch and let them ride 12/12 the rest of the time. I have a few choices for the seeds that I am going to run 12/12, but obviously have no experience with them.
The seeds are as follows:
(World of Seeds) Northern Lights x Skunk
(World of Seeds) Afghan Kush x Skunk
(Nirvana) Papaya
(Barney's Farm) Pineapple Chunk
I am open to any suggestions if anyone has experience growing these under 12/12 from seed.
I am also considering trying to manipulate the plants with LST or something like that in practice for eventually trying SoG or SCRoG.
Anyone got any ideas for some effective techniques that are easy for a beginner to learn?

By my count, I am on the second day of week 8 on my AKR and BMA. I have a theoretical chop date at the end of week 10? Does that seem too early? I hear that using a cold water flush and leaving the plant in the dark for 48 hours is effective in last minute boosting resin content in the buds? I guess I'll worry about that a little closer to chop time.

That's all for now.
Happy Growing!

Yo BNB420! Haven't grown 12/12 from seed so can't help you out there, but I can tell you which one's I would try, haha! I'd go with NL X Skunk (love NL and Skunk so win-win) and Pineapple Chunk (Have seen excellent grows and yields with this strain). End of week 10 sounds good, if you think they need a few more days, no harm there either. I like to let the plants tell me when they're done. Can you check the trichomes for amber as an indicator? I'll try to find you a link to this easy LST method that I'm actually trying out right now and it's working pretty well. Basically it's just (scotch)taping the tip of a big fan leaf blade to the side of the container, gently pulling/bending the plant down and to the side. Pretty nifty. I don't know about the cold water, but I like to leave my plants in the dark for 36-72 hours before I chop them, letting them dry out actually after a good flushing. Hope that helps some, but remember it's just what works for me. Everything you're doing now looks great by the way, so just keep it up and experiment here and there, that's where most of the fun is anyway. Peace, good luck!

Thanks a lot, puff. I can check the trichs with a 30x loupe I got. Not really anything impressive yet. Just super fine hairs. Thanks duder.

Just a highdea... anyone think the ethylene gas released by ripening apples would have any effect on the ripening of buds on a plant?

IMO 24/0 is not as good as 18/6
as darkness is a very important part of the cycle........
