There are no white hairs left on the BMA. There is a confusing mixture of cloudy, clear, and amber trichs on the plant. How far out do you guys think I am? I kinda wanna start flushing. The AKR is going to run at least a week longer than the BMA. I hope they start speeding up, because I have to leave town for the second week in may and I would like to have them trimmed, dried, and in curing in jars by the time I leave.

Once you start seeing amber trichs you can think about harvesting. I think 10% amber is a good maximum to aim for, or more if couch-lock is what you are after....

Couch lock is the LAST think I want. I'm stuck growing squat little indica plants, but I really love me some Sativa. I'm gonna give it a few flush days in the light, and then I'm gonna move it to the dark for a few days and chop it. Prolly 7 days from today. Just the BMA though... the AKR has a little longer to go.

Well I already did my final flush of the BMA with ice water and now it's in the dark for the next 48 hours. Will take some pics on thursday right before I chop it up. Will post pics of everything else, too on Thursday.

Isn't it supposed to be 72 hours in the dark BnB? Or are you on a tight schedule? Can't wait to see the pics!

I have read that the plants look a little more stressed out after 72 hours. I'm just gonna roll 48, as my work schedule is such that the next chance I would get to chop is tuesday of next week, and I want to get this all packed up into jars ASAP so that I don't lose my crop when I leave town for a bit in a couple weeks.

Oh yeah been meaning to say that you can grow short sativas from clone SoG style. Just root for 3 or 4 days, throw em in flower and you should get a nice short sativa cola but watch out for stretching. I have to keep em short for stealth reasons so I'm getting good at it. Or you could grow a plant out, trim the shit out of it, then keep it in veg for 2 or 3 days, throw it in flower, and you'll get a nice short sativa "bouquet" if you clip it right. I've got some pictures of these styles here if you're interested: https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/413044-tangerine-dream-fan-club-10.html#post7317550
I guess you could ScroG one, but who wants to wait 8 months to grow and harvest the sucker :).

Bear with me, because I'm a little tweeky from writing essays all day, but let's have a discussion about trimming. I see all these people who just indiscriminately snip the buds to where all the plant matter is the same length, but a lot of the hairs get cut off and the stems/little crows feet from the leaves oftentimes get left. I get that it makes a really neat, tight looking bud, but there has to be a lot of plant matter lost that you really want to keep. I personally have been practicing (snipped another 1.5 g nug to dry in time for the trim party) trimming only the leaves and leaving all bud parts intact. I love when they hairs are super long and stick out in all directions. I basically just use the tips of the micro shears to snip the base of the stem that holds each trim leaf on. Essentially. I try and remove the entirety of every leaf in one snip per leaf. It takes a while, but it looks better IMO. I will post pics of what I'm talking about during harvest. I get that trimming is all up to personal preference, just wondering what you all prefer.

Me too..... I snip each leaf completely off.... from the base of the stem..... it makes everything neater and tidier.......

but I have lived in Amsterdam too long and all I want is sleek trimmed buds......... so I have to trim them down...... super close ..........

I tell you - with the Great White Shark this time round.... it was more like Big Brown Bear.... it was sooooooooooooooo Hairy.... And you just cudn't snipp em' so I got some Big Brown Bear looking weed............!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone! I'm excited to get all this dried and packed away in jars. @NnthStTris, I used to ride fixies (had a surly steamroller), but not I've got a roadbike (Jamis). Smoked the scissor hash from my trim yesterday. Knocked me outttttt.

Good for you BnB. Congrats and +rep to you. And now if you can keep your hands off it while it's curing, maybe we can get a real smoke report out of you :). LOL Good luck with the Whites!!!
