Tell us again how a car loan is the same as an education.
So you're going to get hung up on my car loan reference and move past the free giveaway that isn't free but just switches the burden to those of us that recieved no benefit from the student loans that are being forgiven? That's what you guys like to do. Focus on some irrelevant part of someones post while ignoring the rest that you can't defend.

No idea why you have to bring Republicans into this? It's a discussion of morality, or at least it should be. Do the right thing. You accepted terms of a loan, and YOU should be responsible for it, no one else.

As for the ~$2 trillion in tax relief to the wealthy I would absolutely not support that.

I do care about giving out freebies for all involved, especially the wealthy and huge corporations. I never said it was OK, you're putting words in my mouth. Huge corporations make millions or billions and often pay zero taxes due to loopholes and working the system. It's disgusting.
I did not say you in particular. Just that the people most upset about Biden's measure applauded the tax cut for the wealthy. BTW, where were you when the tax cut for the wealthy was made into law? Were you out there shouting your moral outrage into the internet?

As I said before. Your and @xtsho 's moral outrage are just your feelings and matter not. This is an economic decision, not a moral one. It will help a lot of people who are feeling hit hard by inflation. They will put the money to use in their communities and keep recession at bay while the fed works to reduce inflation by raising interest rates.

I think you'd have a point if you complained that Biden is gaining political advantage for Democrats through this measure because middle income/well educated demographic are strong supporters of Democrats. But that's not your argument. Yours is a "should-y" argument. Don't should on me and I won't should on you.

Tell that to your doctor next time you see them. Or your kids teachers.
Tell what to the doctor? That I pay my bills and don't take out loans that I can't pay back? Or if I can pay back don't want to because I need a new Iphone? I'm not going to do that.

Now student loan forgiveness is about what I tell my doctor? What the hell does a teacher have to do with any of this unless they're getting loan forgiveness? You guys on the far left sure like to bounce around. One of the reasons I'm no longer a Democrat. The party has gone too far to the left just like the Republicans have gone too far to the right. Those of us in the middle can do nothing but watch both sides destroy the country.

Holier than thou
My way or the highway
No No No

Both the Democrats and Republicans wear the same brand of shoes these days. Both have their hands on people's wallets. Both think their causes are just.

There is no need to reference me in your posts. There is no moral outrage from me. Just an acknowledgement of bad governing. But hey, Biden will get a boost in his poll numbers and a few more votes for the Democrats. Which is the plan.

Oh your moving the goal pasts away from your bullshit meme? Ask your doctor how their taking out a loan so that they could get a degree to be there helps you.

lmao at your stupid “far left” nonsense. Just more of the both sides trolling.

And something he said he would do on the campaign trail. But not bad governing, helping people out who had any number of things hammer them in real life and no support group while In college (the ones who didn’t complete their degrees) is not what you pretend it is.

Billions in tax cuts for the rich,

A bit of student loan forgiveness for the poor and middle class,

There is a saying, "Two wrongs don't make a right."

Just because the Republicans do it doesn't mean it's right for the Democrats to do the same thing. I'm not into these class wars like many are. I have wealthy friends that worked their asses off to get where they are today. If these people need assistance paying back their student loans then I suggest they take another job as employers are struggling to find workers and there are jobs available for anyone that wants to work.

All these people complaining about loan breaks and money didn't even come out of their own pockets. Even is some does what would it add up to? $10? $100? $1000?

Do you guys even know how much would come out of your own pockets? Or are you worried about "OTHERS" who you don't even fucking know?

Why all the crying and whining about shit that really doesn't affect you at all in the long run?

All I see are crocodile tears from people who just want to cry crocodile tears

As I said, what does a doctor have to do with any of this? They are going to make too much to qualify for any loan forgiveness. They paid or are paying off the loan they took out.

And like it or not that MEME I posted is spot on. What about it is incorrect?

And it is Far Left where the Democratic party is going. Which is why there are millions of people like me in the middle without an party and consider ourselves unaffiliated. We are not proponents of these giveaways whether it be too wealthy individuals or someone at the lower end of the income scale. They took out a loan knowing they would need to pay it back.

I see no difference between those that are wealthy getting a tax break and those that are too lazy to work more. They're all getting freebies from the government. It just depends on who's in power as to who gets the freebies of the day.

The "The rich got tax breaks" is a piss poor argument for forgiving these loans. The rich shouldn't have gotten tax breaks but that has nothing to do with this unless you're one of those tit for tat people. I don't believe in that petty bullshit.

The car loan bit was a dumbass statement. If you don't want to be lampooned for making a stupid argument, don't make one.

As I said before, most people who didn't get a college degree don't pay much if any income tax. So your "burden" argument regarding those who didn't benefit from college is false.

People who benefitted from college will foot the bill. What about them? A large majority in this country support this measure. So there you have it. Most people don't agree with you. They aren't bothered by this measure or don't see it as affecting them all that much and are glad to see people who could use some help getting it.

But you just keep your moral outrage blanket draped over your shoulders. I can tell it makes you comfortable.

Nobody is crying. It's a stupid giveaway. I believe in working hard to get ahead. Nowadays people just sit back and wait to get bailed out.

Spoken like someone who thinks they know shit, but really dont.

For example. People should not have to get more jobs after putting in the time and effort to gain the skills necessary to teach our kids, because they are struggling to pay off their sky high education loans.

As I said, what does a doctor have to do with any of this? They are going to make too much to qualify for any loan forgiveness. They paid or are paying off the loan they took out.

Still selling your “far left” bullshit.

I call bullshit on your “too lazy” remark.

The remark about doctor was to getyou to wake up to the fact that people who work their asses off to earn degrees are benefitting us all. And not all doctors will make more than the cap, take pharmacists for example.

if you dont like “rich tax breaks” how about rural Americans getting broadband on our tax payers dime, or all those roads that we pay for a few people to use. We are a society like it or not, and sometimes correcting imbalances is necessary. People who had parents get sick, or just were not ready to go to school, or going into lower paying careers like teaching is not a bad investment to help them get out from under this debt.
