Biden Forgives $20k of Pell Grant

There was an intersting article by Tom Woods published today at Lewrockwell.com. A graph indicated a majority of the "debt forgiveness" would benefit students from rich and upper middle class income brackets.

The "poor" students represented less than 6%. I'm not in favor of a government executive trying to buy votes, but it appears the votes he may have "bought" were from higher incomes.

Government morons...can't even cheat right.
That is complete BS. Pell Grants were targeted at a higher forgiveness amount specifically because they go to students from lower income families. The majority of wealthy students don't take out student loans. Most of the people affected by this plan are the working poor and middle class. You shouldn't spend so much time reading crackpot blogs. Who's votes do you think they are trying to "buy?" Democrats will vote is huge numbers this year due to Roe, do you actually think someone is going to change their vote months from now away from Trump just because Biden took 10K off their student loans? You're forgetting that education and expertise are despised by Republicans and very few go to college for this reason, except for the Republican ruling class who believe education is for the 1% only.

I don't care about Trump or Biden. Wouldn't be surprised if both nailed their own daughters. I mean I might do Ivanka before she got the boob job, but have you seen Biden's daughter? Geezus, Joe, you nailed her!!???

Anyhow, you might be conflating "education" with government schools and silly college programs where the Professors are Volvo driving morons. You shouldn't spend so much time imagining education is a process that occurs via a mandatory pay for set up....that would be "indoctrination"

I may vote for Vermin Supreme, at least with him there's a free pony and a mandatory tooth brushing program!

I didn’t get to see all the details yet. How much are people getting that didn’t take out loans and fail to pay them back?
Not a whole lot, though I would point out that it isn't people failing to pay them back...they are the Uber rich middle class as AJ called them. *total aside, but if that's a clever play on words for people driving Uber to make ends meat, well done.

It's a way to keep the economy going and people shopping. A bunch of folks have a few hundred extra to spend each month instead of just paying into a government bucket. While its not likely to happen because of greed, that does create the environment for wage growth for jobs that aren't held by those college debt holders.

You care enough to cast aspersions upon the better of the two. Aspersions taken whole from the Ministry of Hatred of the virulent authoritarian wing of the overthrow party.

The lie is two-layered: the classic both sides troll (modified by the fact that you do not insult the Repugs)
and the propagation of unprincipled attacks on the character of the guy you claim not to selectively oppose.

You demonstrate daily that, despite your maunderings about individual primacy, your iteration of the libertarian delusion is mounted on a chassis of unalloyed totalitarian sentiment. Remember this revealing little dingleberry?

Speaking of Biden fucking...

In other news today his daughter's diary, the one where it mentions showering with dad, (Pedo Joe) has created some DOJ activity.

If people aren't failing to pay them back, why forgive the loan debt? Shouldn't they just continue to pay them off like they promised when they took the loan?

That makes sense. Of course I can't find where the Federal Government is supposed to be a money laundering instrument of the Federal reserve or was ever supposed to be in the loan business.

Eh, it is what it is. This bumps up middle class spending ability. I didn't get a PPP loan and get it forgiven, but have no real issue with those that did. *other than Sean Hannity. I see this as quite a bit better for regular people than the vast majority of action taken to prop up the economy.

Why stop at just PPP and student loans? Might as well start cutting checks to pay off peoples car loans. Mortgages? Pay those off as well. Those credit cards? Cut some checks for those as well. Why should people have to pay back loans they willingly took?

Everything is free! Oh wait, someone has to pay for it...

lulz, yeah, cars are just like college education.

Oregon has a program that offers tuition free junior college to Oregonians who recently graduated from HS or completed their GED and meet other requirements. Education is a good investment for Oregon's people and its economy. I'd like to see similar for 4 yr state colleges.

I don't understand your bitterness. Also your rant was absurd.
