We are having open face chili burgers tonight. I made a pot of red chili last night. So I grill the burgers (two patties per serving) with the buns to kind of toast them and then I place the meat on the buns and then piping hot red chili, medium sharp cheddar and chopped onion. Then I broil it in the oven (to melt the cheese and slightly cook the onions). Once the cheese has melted, I top with chopped lettuce and tomatoes.
