Are you prepping for doomsday?

:hump:I'm not so much prepping for the end of the world but recently I have started prepping for a large scale natural disaster (Earth Quake) or a failure of our economic system.

My cache is super limited as this is new to me but I guess the saying go's , " Failing to prepare is preparing to fail "

I created a bug out bag. Contents are as follows.

Flint stones
First Aid
lighters/matches
Rambo knives !
Swiss army knife with other attachments
Ropes
flash lights
Compass
Water Canteen
Maps
Book on plants
Semi Auto rifles with 500 rounds so far. Not nearly enough.
Gloves,boots, and fatigues.

Thats it so far. I def. missing a few thing in the bag. This is just the beginning of my prep. I want to store other useful items like batteries, walkie talkies, food, water , guns&ammo, .. Also i've been stocking up on gold and silver.

Anyone else preparing? Also could you guys make any suggestions on what i'm missing from my bug out bag ?

Got to have that apocalypse seed container with some stowaway seeds because you can't rely on barneys farm or TGA when the meteors start crashing.;-)

There isn't a real doomsday scenario. We live an exsitence of impending doom around every corner.

Out world was buitl on fossil fuels and without those fossil fuels three quarters of the population would be dead in less than a year.

All the more reason to live it up. But be semi-prepared.

Inflation brought on by oil prices will be rampant in the coming future. Most likely 10 years but hey who knows maybe sooner.

Nope im not. Its called doomsday for a reason I probably wont surive.. And besides who wants to live in a world where everything we have grown up with and now take for granted is gone?

well my plans were to take over the block first then anything around that surounds the block. then wallmart then the gasstation... and kick everyone off my land... lolz no not realy

I'm prepared to take it to the woods if necessary. Live my life out growing fine herbs and living off the land. Buy organic seeds and stock up on maryjane seeds.

I am a prepper. Not as hard core as those shown on Nat. Geo. Doomsday Preppers. I prep for "fucked up hell days".
If it is truly doomsday, there is not a thing you can do to save you...I prep for what comes before doomsday.

the good news is that if doomsday comes gps and most technology will be worthless. i say we storm area 51, take their shit, kick 'em out, and torture the aliens till they give us the answers.

just know that while you doomsday preppers are gathering food and weapons, there's a whole slew of people putting at least as much preparation into storming your bunker and overwhelming your defenses.

fatties are screwed. they won't be able to run for long, climb anything, or have leftover energy to defend themselves. a trigger finger only works until someone blows your hand off. i think the only people who truly would have a chance are people with real deal bomb shelters. not toolsheds painted with camo and sided with sheet metal. real shelters designed to withstand a certain amount of shit. and they better have some damn good doors and locks because people will die trying to get in there.

maybe we'd be better off stockpiling suicide pills.

i don't know if you mean storming area 51 or eating suicide pills. either way it sounds like you want me to die. that's just plain terrible. you won't be getting any of my fruit rollups or pork rinds.

I am not prepared for 2012 and tbh if it happens well it happens.


One thing is for sure is that I wanna make sure to have renewable energy system. Food. Fruit, veggies, herb seeds and plants and a way to distill water.

Thats what i'm saying Toolage , I was thinking about starting an aquaponic system with fish and veggies. Also to have a seed bank.

But the point I was trying to make was having supplies ready for a natural disaster such as an earth quake or something maybe even more catastrophic.

I think everyone should have at least some type of supply cache ready in case some crazy shit happened. I mean after all , there is only about a 3 day supply of food stocked at the grocery store. millions of people are going buy all that shit up right away..

Look at what happened with Hurricane Katrina. People were in disarray! People couldn't depend on the government thats for sure. It was sink or swim in that situation , literally ! So lets start planning !
