I'm out of super soil after the BBS run. Everything after that is running wheeler zamaroni organic 420 mix. It's one of the best bagged soils I've found. Plus $10/2cuft is nice too. I want to mix it 50/50 with coco one time. I was told it was basically a registered SS mix, and it is good mix... but a fully mixed and cooked true SS is on a different level. So I use some teas along the way. MOAB is in the arsenal for the big lemons under the HPS right now so if all goes well that could continue. Those have been in 3g's for 2 months and still have 2 months togo so I think some feed and additives will be needed/is in action. But the SOG should be pretty self sufficient, I almost just want to flower them in their 6" veg pots.

Not sure but it would be worth a call. When I first found it I google it too and could find anything other than the file number for the trademark. The company is local for me, but I would call them and see what is up. There are about 3 local yards like this up here that make their own 420 mix's, but wheeler is the biggest and the only one I've seen bagged and registered.

I never readjusted the white balance so the hps room is pretty yellow/orange.

Okay here is some info on tubes. He only had the 18w to test. 22w&24w are coming. Not exactly sure if that means they will be offering all those wattages.
One 18w T8LED tube puts out 270umol@6" and 190umol@12". So the 24w should be over 300umol@6". The price will be $35 per tube.

I never knew t5's put out so much even at only 4". It makes it sound so powerful that way.
The LED tube does 3x the umols/wattt over the t5 based on 4" for the t5 and 6" for the tube. Even bulb for bulb the tube would be better and less than half the wattage. Not sure if it works like that but my point is that they are pretty good and 50,000+ hours is a long time.

T5 aquraium and fresh water bulbs put out high par. The standard tri phosphor bulbs do not. You can run them further away. But best results are 2-4 inches away. For intensity purposes. Since they are linear lighting and not a single point of light. The closer the better. Inverse square law.

I was under the impression these new t8 tubes were flourescent. I guess I misunderstood. Now that I know that they are led. That makes more sense. At that price. Its a good deal I guess. I'm definitely down to run those once their out.

Hagen makes high par aquarium and fresh water t8 flourescent bulbs.

Is Apache doing fixtures? The largest ones I found is at home deps and is a 6 bulb. For $89.95. I have not been able to any t8 8 bulb fixtures.

That's just how I do it, I don't use any secondary floor or built up barriers, just saucers. But it is warm so I'm sure it will help. The trays just make it easier to water and move many at a time while they are still little.

hey looking good im also runnig LED lights I have a four 180w panel setup in my second week of flower. Ill keep checking out your post please do the same. Its my second grow and would love opinions/advice. check me out.

I have the AOS all tranplanted into their 2g fabrics. The white shit on top of the soil is diatomaceous earth cause I have some gnats. They came free with the clones and warm weather, but look how healthy they are, so I can deal with the gnats.
The bud shot is from my buddies garden(coco w/canna nuts). He got me the AOS cuts so I know it will be a good cut/strain. The jilly's are the 2 left rows pretty much, all the rest AOS. There is two AT120's on a mover there. Flipping soon.

My buddies do excellent work with this AOS cut, I expect to as well. And the BCS is what was in my BBS too so I know a some of it's traits.
I ran cheesequake and I could see the potential in it. I topped it right before flower, which really cut the stretch but I didn't need that. Then they hermed at week 5 so I tried to ride it out but fucked up the rest of my room so they never bulked the last couple weeks. But the smell is something special.
I think jillybean is going to be great. I like most every finished jilly I have seen. And as a grower all I heard is great smell and huge yields. Pineapple thai is one of my favorite strains and jilly reminds me of a TGA version as far as exoticness with great yields.

Is anyone going to the SF cup this weekend? I am rolling solo this year, so if anyone is there I'm down to meet up and smoke some.

Won't be at the cup, but I did notice a couple pages back that you are a golfer. I've been hitting the ranges lately trying to get my swing back. Any favorite courses in the bay area you can recommend? I'm always looking for somewhere new/challenging, I've pretty much been all over the south bay and pleasanton/dublin area.

Golf is my thing. I played in college and still play some good tournaments. I never played much of the south bay, pretty much all north bay and SoCal. I have played Almeden CC and TPC stonebrae, those are tough tracks. Some of the ncga tournaments are at poppy ridge so I will play there sooner or later. What's on of your favorite down there?

I like the costa mesa course. It has pretty narrow fairways. so its pretty challenging. I played pelican hill once. That was awesome. Used to live on a pga course in Palm Desert. That was cool. During the season you have to play early in the morning otherwise its too hot. That's the only country club I ever belonged too via mom n dad. No longer though. Played tustin ranch a few times, it was the same price as pelican hill..... But luckily I was a guest. Ridgeline was a sweet 9 hole course. Met David Beckham there once. Played in our group. I had no idea who he was at the time. The marshall was on our ass that day. We had a ridiculous amount of people playing.... There was those water way on a down hill fairway that we almost always hit our golf.balls into.Ridgeline was tore down for homes to be built.

If you are into disc golf. Pasadena and Humboldt have the sickest courses

Hiya Hyroot! Palm Desert huh? I'm not much of a golfer but tennis on the other hand...I'll be in Palm Desert for the annual ASHS conference in July to give a speech on the need for the industry to rate all horticultural lighting in a numerical 3 part mw/region format so as to better compare the efficacy of the lamps. I'll be staying at the Marriott while there and if what I see on line is true, there looks to be an ample number of courts, even clay, to bang some fuzz off the balls.

I'm excited to have been asked, by Inda-Gro who is exhibiting and is a corporate sponsor of the event, to attend since I am also very interested in discussing the recently published articles on how adding supplementary UV-B diodes has increased fruit sites and densities for indoor grown commercial tomato crops grown under HPS systems. I believe that 5 years from now, with the controls and technologies being discussed, it won't be the same indoor plant lighting as we know it today. And that my fellow RIUers is a good thing as we can put more of our 'energy' into our gardens.

I just go out and play with some buddies every now and then. Never played in any tournaments, but might get into my company tourney next year if I knock off some rust. There's a couple in san jose/campell/saratoga areas I've been to like santa teresa, silver creek valley, la riconada, or sunol valley off 680. My favorites are along the bay though like half moon bay, monterey, and carmel has some really nice ones I've been to. There's just something about putting next to the ocean that brings me peace.
