"Using it to good effect", that's it? You sound like a commercial for PPS. Then you slam the other guys? I was hoping to get some first hand info on the product, not an obviously biased negative ad. Your not doing the MMPR any favours with this. Why are you pushing PPS, (Cannimed) so hard? The least you could have done was answer some of the questions posted on this thread. Please describe the marihuana, if you've even seen it.
Describe it, it it's friggin milled shit stalk fan leaf lol comes in a bottle all ground up and irradiated Lol

I so hope you are right Martyg, I so want PPS/Cannimed to fail, they shouldn't be allowed to succeed based on karma alone, after they single handedly dealt one of the biggest blows to marihuana this country ever received with their unbelievably bad crap that they peddled to unsuspecting Canadians, turning many off in the process. Though I would still be shocked if that is what they are still doing. Part of me wants the marihuana from them to be good, to represent the MMPR, part of me wants it to be what I tried years ago so them(PPS) and bigPharma fails. Somebody please give us the lowdown.

There are plenty of medicines on the market that are unpleasant to the taste, so they don't have to taste good either. Hence the phrase, "take you medicine" as something that has to be endured, not savored. My beef with a LP that makes a taste claim is that they should figure out what the taste components are and integrate them into the quality process. Same as you would for cherry vs orange cough syrup, chewable aspirin, etc. I've got no problem with them selling based on taste, but back it up with an assay and guarantee it. I am still waiting for a clinical trial that proves one way or t'other that any one of the aroma compounds has any impact on efficacy, which should be the ultimate aim for MM just like it is for any medicine.

P.S. does this mean that once you get up and running as a LP, you will make performance testing part of your QC programme, like the tobacco folks do with their cigarettes.

Lol I am right koot look on cannimeds website for yourself says it right on it our product is milled and irradiated with gamma radiation. Wtf eh I even emailed mettrum and asked them if theirs was the same. I don't buy my Meds pre ground up with stalk and leaf in the mix, idk any patient that would like that either.

I think I was mentally blocking it out, I knew that already, just hoping it wasn't true. You've been saying it all along, Martyg. No words to describe how incredulously flabbergasted I am except for those ones. As a wannabe LP, any advantage that PPS had with the early start is going to be so easy to real in AND, I wish as a wannabe they would have been able to represent the MMPR better, so sad. As a Canadian, I am embarrassed, and as a patient horrified. No one I know would even consider using milled, much less irradiated marihuana, who is going to buy it except the most vulnerable and least knowledgeable, so sad. You were right Martyg!

Of course, as a patient too, all performance testing will be done in house, LOL.

Truthfully, we will need quality feedback from our patients to remain competitive. Some quality testing will be done in the lab, yes, but it is a very small piece of the quality pie. We will not do animal testing, no stoned monkeys at our facility.

That is why all us patients should buy from the small/grower/patient/LP's and not the yahoo investors looking at yields and not quality, or "electronicslug" looking for the head grower, obviously just in it for the money.

P.S. I wrote this entire post with my pants down.

I have it on good authority that milling and irradiating is not mandatory for LP's, WHEW! I was feeling the panic and anxiety rising in my chest, thank you - you know who you are! Pants up again, top of the world, woohoo! That would have ripped my heart out of my chest.

We are still interested in a first hand report from a MMPR patient, even on PPS/cannimed marihuana.

Who knows, maybe somebody loves it and that is okay too. Tell us why?

There are hundreds of components that make up the flavours of meds.
Listing them would confuse more people than it would help.

I'm so happy that the big lp have learned nothing about quality. They seem to know how to kiss government ass, and they do that way better than they can ever learn to grow. They are the kraft dinner of the med world. - me I like steak better....the non irradiated kind.

Thought you people might find this interesting. I wanted the true inside scoop on PPS, so I applied for a job there hoping to work my days off from my actual job. They "cannot" hire me because I have grown before and because I have my "card". Kinda fucked hey. I guess it's not what OR who you know with PPS as my best buddy's cousin is their HR person..

Ck.

Hey everybody just got my email back from mettrum I asked them if their Meds were going to be milled and irradiated. They didn't answer my question lol totally avoided it. You know what, that tells me it's gonna be. Dumbasses I asked them only if their product will be milled or irradiated that's it that's all. They reply by saying they're not ready to take orders yet, and that they'd email me when they were ready. Lmfao i didnt even ask that, what customer service.

I asked them about prices and got a reply saying they weren't quite ready yet, but they would put me on their email list and when they were ready they would walk me thought the registration process!! I didn't ask about signing up.

Sorry to disappoint (again), but the only thing I can offer here is that the same source that reported good results with CML stuff also sighted Peace Naturals material (Nina, IIRC) at a BC compassion club. Same name, same verbiage, same assay numbers, and they were told that the CC had got it from Peace Naturals. It seemed okay, too. Not what you're looking for, but better than anyone else has been able to come up with, sorry.

They won't hire you because you have an ATP? I wonder if they'd hire you on morphine instead!?! lol

Smoked some PPS "17.0" today. Smelled good but that's about it. Lots of stalk, although its small pieces. Smoked a little harsh but tasted alright. They must be milling after drying because there was hardly any trichomes to be seen.

According to my buddy that bought it, its a huge improvement over what they had to offer before but still mediocre at best.

I suspect they have to mill after drying to prevent the mil from getting gummed up or jamming from bridging in the feed inlet.

Did it have the required/desired medical effect? Does he ever use a vapouriser or make his own extracts?

Does he also share his other medications with you? "Hey, r.j., try some of this insulin: it's killer good shit!"

Ouch, low blow, this just goes to show how shallow your understanding of marihuana really is.

1) The resin or gumming up should get even worse with drying, if it has crystal/trichomes.
2) You still think that "desired effect" is the end all and be all, not if you can't breath (coughing), or it won't burn, among other things.
3) Your comparison to insulin just shows how out of touch you are. Marihuana treats a huge range of ailments, and is also social.

Marihuana will not fit in that nice box you want it to.
The "desired effect" is important, but many other factors can make the medication unusable or simply undesirable.

No, you don't get it. The social sharing aspect of MM might be one of the things preventing MM patients from being taken seriously as bona fide patients-in-need. MMPR MM is a prescription med - treat it as such. The MD is supposed to be prescribing a certain amount per day and expects that you will adhere to that and finish your bottle unless there is a medical reason to deviate. You are not supposed to be sharing it out with friends and family. Your name is on that bottle, no one else's.

I have no sympathy for any of you who only smoke it and have not tried to use a vapouriser. If you have the same harsh effects with the vapouriser, then I think you have a case, but all the reading I have done suggests that the lower temperatures used during vapourisation lead to fewer byproducts and should moderate the harshness. Have you used something like a Volcano or have you only ever smoked it? Getting back to insulin, diabetics jab themselves routinely with needles. I doubt they enjoy it. They do it because they have to. While you are literally sucking it up, I suggest you also do so figuratively.

By the way, how much kilogram-scale milling of green plant material have you done? Have you found it flows through the mill better if it has not been dried?

Sorry K-girl but the Shill is right about milling wet plant material. Its like mowing your lawn after it rains. In this case they're sacrificing quality for production.

Did it have the desired effect?..lol..well, after we smoked all 15 grams, he still wanted to buy some of my stash. So I guess not. I passed out on his couch but I think the 40 of JD was responsible for that.

If he was a diabetic, and I wasn't terrified of needles, he probably would give me a shot of insulin if I asked for it.....cause were buds like that.

He likes smoking a bong, considering hes only got one good arm/hand its easiest for him. Hes got a vapouriser too but doesn't use it. I'm personally not a fan of the things, puffing on a plastic bag just feels all wrong, but I do agree its the most healthy way to smoke.

So to sum it all up, all you lab geeks at PPS have improved but are just barely doing better than a Vietnamese gangster growing in a moldy basement.
