Anybody receive MMPR marihuana yet? Give us a report.

What was in the shipping package it came in? All buds? Smell? How long did it take to get? How much money for what? Shipping? Any advertising in the package? Hassles? Would you try it again? How many varieties did you get? Who did you purchase from?

I haven't even heard of anyone getting a license under the MMPR yet but I'm sure many have... As far as Dr's prescribing now, is it now easier, harder or the same as before? They don't have categories anymore right? Can they now prescribe it for anything or is there still a list of only certain things it can be prescribed for?

As far as I understood, it will now be more like a regular scrip. Still different, but requires way less info. When a doc gives you a scrip for antibiotics, he doesn't have to explain that it's for an infected pinky toe caused by a traumatic clipper incident. He just writes the scrip for penicillin, and off you go. My impression is that's what they're aiming for.

Good questions. My understanding is that it is up to the doctors discretion now. It is probably about as hard to get a scribe now as before, with it being all new, but as we get used to it and the scary liability issues for doc's abate, it should be a lot easier.

No categories or lists, but more importantly no Health Canada looking over doc's and patients shoulders. An example being my doc (MMAR) supplied me with a letter to send in with my (MMAR) applications that stated that he (the doctor) was well aware of the fact that the prescription was a large one and that HC should not bother calling him.

Add to this the thousands of nurses now able to prescribe, it will be easier I think, in a few months.

The only issue in my mind will be how the different college of physicians react. They might want to exert some sort of control over how many, how much is being scripted.
Don't forget the CMA and different colleges didn't like the mmar either, but it still grew.

So can nurses prescribe it now or does that not happen till April?

Good point, though I have no clue what you think will happen, scribes will grow like the MMAR growth?

Doctors and nurses can prescribe MMPR medication now it started when the first LP had some to sell, about a month ago I think.

So when one applies or renews now, do they still print an application off from the HC website or do the Dr's take care of all that now?

Be interesting to know how many if any nurses have prescribed any yet.

You would send in your current MMAR valid ATP (authorization to possess)to the LP of your choice which then would allow you to order from them until the expiry date.

If you are getting a new scribe, not in the MMAR, you would send the original prescription/medical document to the LP of your choice to be able to order. The LP will have more documents for you to sign as well.

Somebody has already ordered from a nurses scribe, no doubt. Sure be cool to hear all about it.

Since the first license was issued, correct me if I'm wrong Sept 23rd. But they did not have any to sell then.

Yes they are all allowed to sell, although only two are doing so presently.

Didn't know there was a difference, thanks. What is the difference in layman? How many nurse practitioners are there?
