Dam that was not the news I wanted to hear that it's definitely root rot with my adjustments last night my res temps are now at 19° and yes unfortunately I am in flower there is no way I am just going to chop them down I really hope I can get over it and and try and get some new root growth to start can I kill this root rot ? do you think it is possible for them to carry on ? Also if my temps stay at 19 do you think I still need a chiller?
If you can maintain 19 24/7 you are good

Thanks for all the replies I have cleaned the tanks out as best as I can of all dead plant matter I added pythoff into my tanks yesterday I don't know if you have heard of it? And I have added it at the recommend dose do you suggest I add it at a stronger dose then until things hopefully clear up ? And yes green ledgend they seem to be sitting at 19 now so I hope I can get away with having to get a chiller fingers crossed and if I see them getting higher I will chuck some ice bottles in them till it chills again

My bad I would use the little drinking bottles. Try at least 2 liter frozen bottles. I use at least two frozen 2 liter bottles to maintain my temps every 12 hours when i clone and veg aero/nft style.

I hate to say i man but I really hope for your sake that you have new clones on deck. That grow is gonna be dead on arrival. Once you get root rot its over. The kicker is your system may be so badly contamed that it could pose a risk to your future grows if not super duperly sanitized. I know its tough but this is why they say you should learn doing soil first.

I saved my last run from death, one plant had one root strand left and it came back.....but I probably would scrap it knowing what I know now. It took about four weeks to come back and never amounted to shit. I did it because I wanted to run that strain and it was a seed grow. Hydroguard and a chiller did it though, not sure if it was one or the other or both lol.

Okay all I'm sure you know my situation with my pythium problem so as it is now one tank is nearly completely dead and the other it seems to looking like its going to pull through adding pythoff daily but I expect my yield is going to be poor this time round so going forward I am looking at buying a water chiller namely a hailia HC 300 for my next run and add pythoff all the way through or this hydro guard many seem to approve to keep the the root away. So my question is I have three separate NFT tanks running beside each other all with their own reservoir located below the tray now what I am thinking is to connect all of the three reservoirs together using pipework and running The chiller to cool all three at once as in The end tank will have the pump to pump to the chiller and then the outlet will be going to the other end reservoir pumping the cool water in and laws of physics that should then balance out the water level between all three if I have pipes connecting all three thanks together really hope Some of you guys can give me some pointers or tell me a better way of doing it other than buying three separate chillers thanks a lot guys look forward to your replies
