too much N probably. pics?
Hi so you think it is to much nitrogen I did let my resiviour get low which in turn would have raised my EC level which I am assuming caused the nitrogen problem do you just suggest not letting it get as Low ( I am installing a auto top up system Sunday ) or do you suggest I change my nutes ? Thanks

When the water is absorbed by the plants there can be a higher concentration of salts left behind. Keeping the water levels topped off can help avoid this.

I have read that the best nutrient uptake ph for hydro is 5.8, I could be wrong but I have had great results with 5.8. Soil on the other hand seems to like 7.

Its hard to see without white balance but otherwise your leaves look good. Just look at the color of green that your leaves are, if they are really dark green then they are rich with N. I would say just keep things steady too much changes will only complicate things

Thanks black o.g I always set my water up at ph5.5 after adding nutrients when I do res change then after a few hours the ph swing between 5.6 and 6.1 never re adjust it so do you think I should carry on with 5.5 in my back up res or go to 5.8 ? And yep il keep an eye on leaf colour but at the min it is all
Looking ok

are you using water straight from the tap? If so I bet half the PH swing issue is directly related to the water temp. If your water is coming out say in the high 60s by the time it warms to your room temp your PH value will change.

Maybe try dispensing the water you plan to use a day or two into a container that is in the room so temps stabilze. I have observed that issue myself in the past.

Also, for nft or aero I think 5.8-6.0 is best. Once you grow your strain a couple of times you should check your notes and see what worked better

Hi all as said I have now set up my header tank set my Ph to 5.8 so no won't have to worry about my water level getting too low and increasing my EC but whilst doing my visit I have a new problem one of the 2NFT tanks all the plants seem to be not doing as well as the other Nft tank the fan leaves have yellowed off quite a lot lost a number of leaves also and the bud formation does not seem as good as good as the other tank I don't know what my problem is hope somebody can help me out as if left I Think they will end up dying or losing a lots of flower weight

They are a slight light brown colour but I am not sure if they are stained by the nutes that I am using which is a dark brown colour and I checked them against the other tank and they seem exactly the same

Sounds like the onset of pythium bro. If your temps are too high this happens quick in hydro. Do you have any flies in the growroom area?

Hi all sorry for the late reply I have been busy any ways jronnn these 100 cutting were all given to me by a friend so I don't know how long they took to root around the 7 day mark I am guessing and when I received them they were in jiffy pellets busting out lots of roots which is when I then transplanted them into 3 inch rockwool and begged for 9 days before flipping...... Green legend 420 as said said earlier these were all given to me by a friend I got 100 used 88 in my setup two died for some reason and then I have kept 10 to turn into mothers so I have my own supply of cuttings for my next run....sky rocket I will take your advice and not count my chickens before they have hatched but my ultimate goal is 14grams per plant so if I hit that il be more than happy if I don't I will just try next time round thanks for all the responses please share any more info if you have any thanks
14 gram per plant i think is very reasonable i have hit 1 1/2 oz from clone straight into 12 12 it was zlh 12 weeks flower

no I have not seen any flies in the grow room as yet I did actually put a dose of pythoff in there yesterday when I made up a new resiviour change so may be I will keep adding that every few days and you said about temps being to high do you mean the res or the room ?

I would be more than happy with 14 grand per but arm the min the way my plants are looking they could end up dying soon just wish I knew the problem so I could diagnose it asap do you grow in hydro ?

Res temps. What is the water temp and the ambient air temp in root zone? I bet its all heat related or your cycling too much water.
you said this is a nft grow right? What is your on off cycle set at?

Res temp is 24 and I am unsure of the ambient air temp in the root zone I will have to check it and yes it's in Nft and there is no on off cycle and the water is on 24/7 and it is running at nearly the lowest setting..... Been and check again earlier and another plant has bit the dust :( here is a couple photos of the two dead plants
