Thanks...I am chomping at the bit myself. Today was hot and major humid. Could not stay ahead of it. The forecast, though, has temps cooling and humidity abating for the next couple of weeks. Should be a nice, manageable finish. Fingers crossed.
You should be quite happy with what I see the only other thing I hate is the curing process. I am decent but not great so then I worry and stress myself out over curing dont no why but I do

Yeah...I know. I have read so much about it in the last couple of weeks that my teeth hurt. Just priced jars yesterday at Wally World and even their price did not make me happy. Just plain old Mason or Kerr jars were ok but the ones with the locking clip were $8 for a damn pint jar!!! My mentor trims wet, just hangs them in a dark/dry room, goes by feel, and when done, bags them in zip-locks, and freezes. Of course frowned upon here. I built a drying rack and will be using it, while I am also planning (as mice and men often do) on string-hanging a plant or two. To add a third comparison I hope to also hang one plant whole and trim it dry. From there I am going to freeze some in just ziplocks, going to freeze some in vacuum sealed bags, and jar some. Oh shit...now I have made YOUR teeth hurt, sorry.
When he gets too deep Commander Strax here likes to post pictures of cats...heres a little pussy willow (side nug) to relieve the pain I caused.

I think your preferred dry technique will depend a lot on the rh and temp in your drying room. I don't like to wet trim because here in Colorado I usually have a very low rh and everything dries way to quick. I will take off all large fan leaves at time of harvest or day before and then I try to take everything off on the branch so each chunk has lots of moisture in it to slow down my drying. I can get a two week dry time this way. Trimming is then a little more difficult but the improved flavor makes it worth it for me. I then do a minimum two week cure in jars and this often makes a world of difference. Finding a way for your dry and cure to go slowly is the best advice I can give. So experiment, experiment, experiment!
I wish I could put in bowl and smoke it lol. Yeah I have a decent feel for curing but I often struggle I hang for a week I feel is a touch long and they get a touch dry then I jar them and burp but then they feel damp again not super wet but moist so I then fear 9f mold soni always pull out jar and dry more Md I think thats were I screw up but ill learn lol when you give your ways a try let me no what works best I have a couple outdoors girls at moment but they still have time left 5 or 6 weeks easily so

You were the catalyst there. Also cannot wait for them to arrive on the main stage. Still have 10 I am mucking with...will choose the best 6 for grow 2 and plan on upping to 5 gallon poly bags ..from 3.

trim anything with a stem off plant,hang until outside of bud feels crispy. cut branches with bud off and put into plastic tub overnight. this sweats out the inner moisture still in bud. These tubs have little holes under each handle to let air out slowly. you can burp them if you like. When the buds are dry again, you do final trim and jar. You should not need to burp the jars after this. works every time for me.

Not sure I am picturing this correctly. So you are hanging the whole plant short of trimming fan leaves etc. and then after hanging, you are trimming down to individual branches prior to placing in tub. Right so far?
So then you stack them in there?? Or just cover the bottom or?...
...then final trim or bagging, jarring etc. The idea for the full plant hang I planned to try came from "Squidbilly" here and the process is similar I think... with the tubs being an interesting addition.

If it is dry weather,I will hang the whole plant, then trim water leaf off after it's crispy, then into individual branches into tub. If it is humid out, I trim all fan leaves and hang whole plant. the tub helps to sweat out that inner moisture.it may take a few days in the tubs before it's ready for the jars.

Cool, got the gist of the it but..sorry...again...do you stack the branches in the tub? The one you linked to is 20 qts. so I assume you stack.

yeah, Just stack them loosely in there.put lid on. When it's dry, I use the tubs to do final trim into. I have one for trash. i put plant in tub and trim water leaf off,then chop and hang, i now have a tub full of leaf and the pot. i can just dump into trashbag. pull pot out. Having the bud on branches allows you to trim without handling the buds. After final trim, the trim goes into freezer for future blasting.

The diffrence between 24\0 and 18\6 in veg is the plant that vegged 5 weeks on 24\0 will have more growth over ground...but not in the root system...plants grow roots in the dark period that's why its important to give them dark ...outdoors they don't get 24/0 so why would U give them 24\0 indoors..you will always have better yeilds and stronger plants vegging on 18\6 .rather than 24\0.. Its common sense...I went 24/0 in Veg for over 5 weeks. So I also lost over 10 days of darkness there. Do you think my plant hormone level was the same as someone going 5 weeks at 18/6? Do my "20 day" pictures look like they could not be 23 day pictures? Based on many I have seen right here they could substitute for 30 day pictures...but then I am biased.

Actually have a number of those tubs already so the one plant I already had planned to dry whole is going to be tubbed that way. I will throw a hygrometer in there after the initial sweat.

If my plants did not grow roots with the light on, Why are the roots poking out of the bottom of the bag their in, and why aren't they tipping over? They had 24/0 in veg since they were a cutting. Actually it has been put to me in almost the opposite terms...not in dispute of the idea the more light equates to a concentration above ground but with the argument of "Root growth has never been a problem for me, so why would I want to restrict the amount of growth time?" I personally won't argue either way with my limited experience, but so far 24/0 looks to be producing. I have decided, based on yet another's argument
, to try 20/4 on grow 2... as that person thought 20/4 produced the better buds of the three most common timing ratios ...more "common sense"? I dunno

I run 20/4, I believe everything needs sleep. 18/6 saves a butt load of electricity.
