It's a lot to do with wot u choose to grow their r no definitive answers as to the questions u asked so do wot u feel comfortable with and compare the results then u will have an idea of wot works and wot doesnt.trial and error...

People will try anything to get better weed. Kinda funny.

Genetics + basic botany + a little love = Better than stoopid new trends. IMVHO.

Old trend actually. Maybe a dying one. This is a first grow. Following directions. Questioning some of them...which is where this thread started. I might replace "a little love" with "a little logic", but that's the Spock in me.

Is it too early to be talking about the next generation? I was 18/20 with my first solo cloning. Started with 10, was afraid I messed them up, so post flower-start I cut 8 more...they all took. Actually those flower-clnrm.jpg started ones took right off and where the first group were just dropped in Promix...the 8 were put in a combination of cheap K-Mart dirt and manure. They liked it...and I will be using that 2-1 mixture respectively again. Oh I only need 6 of these (maybe 8) but I could not bring myself to cull them until I run out of room in my clone cabinet. Anyone need some plants?

End of week 5. Things are getting a little chunky. Not extremely frosty but starting. Tied things up this weekend as too many buds hanging low...hopefully that was the right thing to do.

Yeah used 3 bamboo canes and some soft yarn. Had tied up one stem I busted a couple weeks ago and discovered that duct tape sticks to the poly bags quite securely...avoiding ramming things down in the dirt. Taping things vertically up the cane and once all done that way a horizontal piece around the whole pot. Then wrapped the yarn similar to how you describe the wire. If I remember I will take a picture later.

69 hours of dark is def a waste of time. Plants need light to produce, i doubt your plant can even tell the difference between 24 and 69 hrs of darkness. 69hs is just like giving your plants a few day hibernation imo.
You are correct in a way. Plants have a circadian rhythm or clock just like us. Doing wacky crap like this only confuses them and slows growth.

His pocket book may have won, but his plants lost growth time.
The horse is dead...However...
What say YOU to this...?

"I went 24/0 in Veg for almost 6 weeks. So I also lost over 10 days of darkness there compared to someone running 18/6. Do you think my plant hormone level was the same as someone going 6 weeks at 18/6? " Similarly, do you think I generated any additional hormones in the 69 hours as opposed to someone doing 12/12 immediately and thus half the amount of darkness in those 3 days?
