630 DE CMH canopy distance?

Run 1,050 Watt DE CMH (4,200K Veg and 3,100K Bloom) at 30-36 above the canopy in a 4x4 and she does great especially when the swell is on. Heres a Ghost Train Haze @ 3 weeks into flower (12 week strain) already beasting out.... I loooooove CMH
No idea how you're doing that. Im now running two 315's in my 4x4, have them at the very top of the tent and still getting burnt leaves. Temps are good and I have a kick ass exhaust fan.

Not a chance. It's the light for sure. I'm not a new grower.
you can be a 30 year veteran and still have nute issues slick. Some ladies take nutes better than others as you would know since you're not a new grower. I ran Bruce Banner clone that was burning up at half strength feed while I've had Super Lemon haze Taking 110% with just a little tip burn which is where I like it. What Spectrum are the lamps if I might ask, Also is there filter glass on them? My big ass lamps have glass that filters out some of the UV that is not part of the actual lamp but surround and are held in place with metal clips

Been growing since the early 90's. Back when I had a big room to grow in things were different. These days I just use tents and decided to try out these CMH about a year ago. Went from a 600 HPS in the tent to two 315 CMH. Still getting kick-ass yields and great weed but the leaves do start to burn by around week 6 in flower. The only difference is the light. I use the green power bulbs from Phillips. They are vertical 315's with no glass. I guess it's fine to keep running this way but just wondering why other people can run 1000's in a 4x4 but I'm getting burnt leaves with 630.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the Phillips lamps are pushing some UV through. I Have never seen a single ended bulb with a UV filter though. But hell, if they're banging out weight, keep rolling with it. lol. I used to run HPS too back when White Widow, Grandaddy Purple, and AK47 were the go to's,I still pull 2+ under the CMH thousy so I can't complain. i have noticed a slight decrease in yield but a huge increase in quality with CMH and LED both.

I get par readings just over 800 at center with my 630w dual bulb cmh. Better than 1k hps, runs cooler also, and I can use the Phillip's bulb for the whole veg and bloom without having to change spectrums. Gotta love these things
Hi! What height was this above the canopy? Thx.
