Well then wouldn't you say that people are the root of all evil, or perhaps scarcity for providing the instinct for greed? Scarcity results from living on a finite planet, there's no helping scarcity. Walking that to its logical conclusion, evil doesn't really exist. Some people are more self-serving than others. Trump could have made more money collecting interest, but chose instead to employ tens of thousands of people. Hillary Clinton is worth well over 100 millon (possibly billions with the foundation) dollars from a career as a "civil servant". I think Clinton is far more self-serving than Trump in that sense.
You "think" that only because youre a common idiot.

“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”

Evil does exist and is inside of all of us. If you go a single day without sinning then you are full of shit. Whether within your thoughts or delivered through actions, we all have evil within us. It's called "human nature" but is actually the sinful nature that is broadcast to us through the air which influences our thoughts and emotions.

Money brings out the evil that is inside a man, because of the selfishness you talk about that is so hard to deny within ourselves.
Good and evil are simply connotations humans put on actions. What is good to one man can be evil to another.

Worry about yourself and not trying to take from other people. You are demonstrating selfishness by your own position.

I really like her, ideologically consistent anti-war anti-bailout. Cutting foreign aid to human rights abusers. Higher minimum (won't be necessary if debt burden is lowered by allowing banks to fail, so I'll give her a pass), blows out neo-cons during every interview, alternative energy jobs initiative, pretty much a squeaky clean vote. I just can't bare the thought of Hillary in the White House, so Trump is the evil of two lessers that I'll grunt it out and vote for. I wholly understand a third-party vote though, makes more sense now more than ever.

Here she is shitting on Fox News neo-con market-apologists, warmed my heart:
I'd hit it

Yet you are taking a vote away from the only candidate that can beat him. Stein or Johnson have absolutely no chance whatsoever. A vote for them is just making a statement and giving the US the middle finger. You might as well vote for Trump.
She's not the only candidate who can beat if she can't fucking beat him. Here's a question though, if a vote for Jill Stein is a vote for Trump according to Democrats, and a vote for Clinton according to Republicans, who do I vote for if I want Jill Stein to win?

The fact is, Hillary Clinton fucking sucks and many of us would never dream of voting for her out of fear that she might win. You shillbots shouldn't blame us sensible greens for the fact that your party ran such a terrible candidate and cheated the guy so many progressives liked. Take responsibility ok?

Apparently voting for Jill Stein counts 3 times.

As does the career litigator.

Building a wall across the southern border is not the right answer. He's offered nothing other than building a wall and/or massively increase the size of government to enforce border security. Big government, that's what all Republicans are after? :wall:

So basically continue doing what we are doing now? The Democrats and centrists agree.

Democrats and centrists agree.

By alienating the top 3 countries the United States does business with? Or rather, the top 3 countries Trump exploits to make money off your dumb ass.

lol. ok...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAH AAAAHHHH HAAHAHAHAHAH! No.

That's about all he'll do. Mention it in a speech and move on.

Who hasn't?

Ok. Totally a kewl reason to vote for someone. :wall:

Why not get out altogether?

You are silly.
While this is a very good critique of a Trump supporter and his motives, it does fuck all to defend Hillary Clinton. In fact, each issue cited could be a point of valid and harsh criticism of Clinton.

Neither did FDR.
FDR did more than anyone to bring benefit to the capitalist ruling class. He preserved capitalism from its certain death and saved markets from collapse. He put people to work. Labor creates all wealth, especially the wealth hoarded by the ruling class.

Now the planet is threatened. We're all in it together even if our problems are caused by inequality and greed fueling endless growth and climate change. All FDR did was to kick the can down the road for our generation to pick it up.

If someone raped my mother it would be amazing.... She was cremated over 10 years ago and her ashes scattered!!!

Rape is a physical act. It is neither good nor evil, society just puts those tags on it. I am not saying rape is a good thing, I am simply pointing out that good and evil are societal constructs. Since good and evil are part of societal perception you cannot use it consistently as a guide to anything.

Obama is droning people in Afganistan and Syria. If he blows up a kid is it an evil act? The kid's mom probably thinks it is...

If something isn't good, it isn't inherently evil. However, rape is evil, look up the dictionary meaning of the word. Either one.

Your new age hippy bullshit about societal ideas of morality are as dated as believing obama was here to benefit america. if you can't figure out good and evil, then you may be missing a conscience. you have to protect it because no one else will.

Ok, since you seem to have it clear while accusing me of not. If Obama blows up a child in Syria as part of collateral damage from a drone attack, is that an evil act? Is our president evil?

I don't dislike her. Much better than hillary. She is pretty center. I w9uld be interested in hearing about her "green new deal". I know we need to update our power grids, repair our roadways, and move towards better efficiency.

Arguable since he's trying to do good?

Forcing our soldiers to listen to and fight along side pedophiles is pretty fucking evil.
