400w hps, 240 blackstar,300w advanced diamond series, and a few t5's for overkill

Just out of curiosity, if a single plant turns herm, will it pollinate itself? And would the seeds be imbred? Or would it strenghin the paticular strain?

Yes it would pollinate itself. The seeds would pass on the hermitism trait as well and would be very likely to hermie. It most definitely would not strengthen anything or everyone would be making their own plants go hermie wouldn't they?

I actually read that it is how they femanize seeds. Which makes sense I suppose. And that in turn is why when you buy femanized seed's they are more likely to hermie.

That is the crappier way to produce feminized seeds. And that method is done by letting them stay alive past the harvesting time. The plant will try to pollinate itself as its last chance of survival. But this method is not that reliable.

The pros all use colloidal silver, I believe. And I've never had any of my feminized seeds turn hermie on me.

Very sadly chopped my first babytree down today. I cut all the lights, zipped the tent up and let her sit in the cold dark for 24 hours. Took it out yesterday, flushed it with cold water, put it back in the tent, cranked the a/c down to 60 ish again and let her sit another 24 (making a 48 hour sit in all ). Trimmed most all the left over leaves I could, Chopped her in 2 halves, and hung her in the tent. Put 3 damp rids at the bottom. She is shut off from the light, and the a/c is set on 70. There is a small fan running inside the tent to circulate the air. Now, the damp rid is just to keep the humidity in check and is no where near the actual hanging plant. And I only plan on leaving that in there a day or so. Will be eagerly waiting to try my hand at the cure jars. < its my first grow, first dry, first cure, I am very afraid I will fudge this up.

On a side note, I ordered a hygrometer or whatever the fudge there called to keep in one of the jar's. I think seeing a hard number, and burping it down will make it easier. Here is to hoping anyway. I will also be putting them in a paper bag for a day? or so? before they hit the jars. Any tips?

Yeah^^.....I've been using hygrometer in my jars for years.....keep it at 60%-65% for a perfect cure everytime....:-)

I had a plant that hermied only about 3-10 seeds per plant, the seeds always produced females that did the same thing.. probably how the strain got so popular, everyone was closet growing from thier bagseed.. I was told it was G13 Lemon Skunk from years ago. just a heads up sometimes a little, little bit of hermie can be a good thing. good luck.

Just transplanted this, It is maybe 2 months in veg. I use only bottled spring water, or dasani bottled water. I used a soiltab from nirvana, but other then that no fert or chemicals at all. It is in a mix of fox farm ocean/perlite/with just a sprinkle of miracle grow seed starter. To me is seemed like a calcium def, so i purchased some worm poop spray + calcium. and only squirted a few squirts onto the topsoil. But, the tips are now curling and the leaves are sort of brittle feeling. They are under a led, so heat is just in the low 80's. Humidity seems to be the the 40%. Any ideas?

This is the worm poop spray I squirted on the topsoil. Again only a few squirts and it seems pretty tame. (the only thing else I used was a little superthrive when transplanted to reduce the stress )

But, im not putting any nutes at all. the hps is out of service, I just chopped the plant that was under it. This one is my led grow.

Does it look like over watering? calcium def? I am actually afraid to use any nutes, so other then the worm poop spray and the soiltab.

I considered trying to flush, but if its caused by the tiny bit of miracle grow that was mixed in, I don't want to pop any more nitrogen releases.

Well you said that your using soiltabs??/miracle grow/fox farm(organic nutes are present)/worm casing liquid/superthirve .....that's too much IMO and yes Sensi is correct check your runoff(i think you will be running hot).........be safe and happy growing

I am only using bottled water. Spring or dasani. I figured the ph had to be in a good range on a bottled water. But I was just assuming that.
