400w hps, 240 blackstar,300w advanced diamond series, and a few t5's for overkill

Sooooo, first grow, and it all happened as a result of my big heart! So, last year I would throw seeds left over from whatever bag weed I had been smoking out my door, along with whatever stem's and junk were left over. Well, low and behold there was a little 3 or so inch sprout hiding under some of the other plants. It was getting cold out and I could not stand to let it die so I got a coffee can, put some miracle grow 6 month soil and transplanted it into the warmth of my home. ( now a coffee can, miracle grow, and some cheap 24" walpmart lights kept it string beanie and ill looking for several months )

I decided to get serious and purchased a 3x3x6.5 grow tent along with a 400w hps/mh light. I transplanted into a larger pot, used a soil tab from nirvana, some fox farm organic soil, and it blew up. The entire time in the miracle grow it only had 3 leaves per leaf, instead of the classic 5. But it started growing the 5 leaves after it was given some proper treatment. Now, I have no clue about growing, and what I do know, i have learned from reading various forums. The plant has to be at least 7 - 9 months old and I have had it in flower around 7 weeks now. The only thing I have done to it, is put in a flower tab from nirvana and using superthrive. ( which seeing as how close it is to harvest I regret using the superthrive because I just simply do not trust it) ( I used more then a drop and kind of watered with it willy nilly)

Now, here is the issue. It smells of fruit loops. Has light tan/reddish hairs on it, but the buds are all over it and not very big. I do not know if it is done or if i should let it keep on. I trimmed it a couple days ago of most of the fan leaves in anticipation of chopping it this weekend. I added a lot of superthrive to help it cope with losing most of its leaves. And now, im at a crossroads where I do not know if it is ready to come down or if i should see if it keeps going after losing most of its leaves. Can someone take a look and see what they think? I can answer any questions that I may have missed.

And here it is tonight. Just finished 7th week from switch to 12/12. Cut loads of fan leaves off yesterday in hopes of helping buds toward bottom covered by leaves to mature faster. I was anticipating chopping it this weekend, but I added some superthrive to help with the shock and can't tell if I should let it go on and see if it recovers and keeps budding or pull the plug.

Ok so there you have it folks. I need some advice. Should I take it up? Should I let it go? Is it done? Has it been done?

I have a 300w advanced led along with 2 - 2 bulb 48" t5's that I am not currently using. I put the blackstar high output 240 at a sideways angle from the plant in the above pictures about a month and a half ago, hoping that it would penetrate the lower buds and help them mature.

Its kind of hard to tell, but it doesn't look quite ready yet. wait until about half the hairs are an amber color. The best way to find out for sure is to check the trichomes with a magnifying lens or a jeweler's loupe. Radioshack carries a decent magnifier for like $15.

Since u just added superthrive u should flush ALOT of distilled water with molasses or sugar or some carb of some sort...keep them on regular light schedule for three more days then keep them in darkness and freezing cold for three days and watch how swollen and crystalized they are.I let the pots completely dry out to the point of drought, to stress plants into more crystal production, crystals are a form of protection, think about it and cannabis swell the most the last weeks of life so be patient trust me.

I have used bottled spring water the entire grow. Randomly watering with molasses. My fear is that since I chopped so many leaves off that it may be on life support and quit doing anything whatsoever.

First of all great grow for your first time......As other's have said it's hard to tell with the glow of the HPS/ but id guess your pretty close(7-10days)before the chop/start flushing or don't (it all come down to your curing method's anyways). If you go 50/50 amber on chop it will be mostly a couchlock effect.......if you prefer that:)

good luck

Yeah, now, I have seen mixed reviews on miracle grow. Seems the nitrogen that is released when watering is a bit to much. But, I think most newbie's are looking for a simple start and when you see miracle grow ( grow plants twice as big ), you automatically think *jackpot*. Currently I am using the fox farm ocean type. Honestly when your new to growing and start looking around online, you find so many conflicting posts and opinions. I have come to the conclusion that you basically have to fumble your way thru a few grow's before you can really start to have a handle on what your doing. I did not get an inline fan, or exhaust of any time for my tent. I left the tent open, let the temperature rise and fall naturally. Altho I had a fan blowing from the outside in to circulate the air. I feel lucky to have gotten as far as I did, considering. I am going to attempt to dry/cure which seems like a crap shoot as well.

They oughta call miracle gro "newb gro" :) almost every newb does it once and only once ;) looking forward to the comparison. I love my 240w blackstars. Not sure if one's going to outdo a 400w but would love to see.

Any advice here? I germed these in a paper towel on top of the cable box. Planted them yesterday morning, left them on the cable box in the sort of dark (for the heat). Then moved them under these 24" el cheapo wal-mart plant lights. I have had bad luck with keeping sprouts going, so im always nervous during this step.

there are ummmmm, dinafem cheese, dna genetics 60 day wonder x2, and afgan kush ryder

This is the set up I orginally used as my title in this thread. I have the diamond series 300w on top. I have 2 t5's mounted along the side, with 4 different bulbs in them. Some cfl on the side.

I completely mixed up which plant was which when they were young. 2 auto flowered clearly. possibilities are short ryder, ak-48, medusa, eldorado, or one of the afgan kush, or pakistan ryder. they are very compact plants, even the non auto flowers. I would like for them to stretch more, so I lowered them down a few inches. I'm hoping it helps to bush them out.

If anyone wants to play the name that strain game, feel free. (along with any advice you may have)

Thanks, I needed that word calix. I looked up some images and sure enough that is what they are. I'm just not sure why its putting on new one's when its already on the 8th week of flower. I was about to take her down. But as long as she has life, I guess there is no harm in letting it go another week or so. (is there?)

most people finish 9-10 weeks so no harm whatsoever, you still have a lot of your fan leaves so they havent even died off yet as long as you still got those they feeding the buds.
