Nope... I've had bottled water range from ph 4 to 9. I rarely have it come out in the 6s. Sometimes you do with spring water with certain makers but you can't count on it. I check the pH on all water going into my plants it's the only way I can make sure to avoid nute lockout/ph issues. I've heard people say different values depending on stage but I always go with 6.5 that way if your meter is wrong by .1 or .2 either way, your plant will still be fine. In my experience anywhere between 6.3 and 6.8 and you're good.

So I hung up the hps grow for 4 days. I put it in a paper sack for 2 days. Placed them in jars yesterday. They felt really dry, but as my first cure, I wasn't sure exactly how they should feel. At any rate, that was at 7 pm. I over slept this morning and did not open them until noon. The humidity was at 65%. Now, it took 17 hours to rise up to that level. So I only left the jars open for maybe 15 minutes. I threw in a small green leaf in each jar, because I heard it would help to raise the levels back up. Should I leave them for 12 hours and remove the leaf? Should I maybe leave them longer because of the lower humidity (65%). Adding the leaf may bump it back up to closer to 70 i am hoping.

Its been almost 3 hours, and the temp in the jar is 76 degrees, and the humidity is up to 68%. But, of course that is just from the green leaf i threw in there. I'm not sure if it will soak into the other buds or not.

^^^^^nonono........dude you rh is too high you gonna get mold.....open the jars asap.......and keep it between 60-65%rh......im here to help you listen to this info<<<<

good luck and open the jar

When I opened the jar this morning for the first time it was at 65% and dropped down to like 55% in a matter of ten minutes or so. I'm just really confused. Maybe I should skip the jar thing all together.

I took the lid off after 4 hours, the humidity was up to like 68%. But after maybe 30 minutes with the lid off its down to 56% already. Which makes me think its way to dry.

Yeah close it back up......first couple of days the rh will fluctuate high and low, just watch your hygrometer and keep it in the cure zone....you let it dry out to much and their is no going back, so be Care full....it will stabilize after a week.....good luck:-)

Its been at 56% all day. Sealed up for almost 12 hours. Temp in the 70's. I think its dry and its about as cured as it is going to get. The only thing I could think of would be to throw a fresh leaf back in and let it even out some.
