300+ watt CFL w/ feminized Afghan Skunk ( My 4th Grow/Log/Journal)

WOW. I've built a cfl grow box and waiting on seeds to start my first grow with 306 watts. I've read through several cfl grows and was beginning to wonder if a plant as awesome as yours was even possible. Super excited now as your plant is amazing.

Thanks buddy! The biggest mistake most people make when using CFLs is the distance of the bulb to the plant. It's very important to keep the lights as close as possible at all times (to limit streching). I keep all of mine about 1-2 inches away. Anyhow...Good luck with you grow man!

Day 68 total, Day 38 12/12...just a bunch of bud shot pictures. She's getting frosty and begining to gain some weight now. Also, a lot of hairs are turning red, but she's putting out new pistils at the same rate...so its grow grow grow for now! PEACE

Looking impressive, main cola's gunna be monsters by the looks of things...

Hey all, I'll post some pics tomorrow...she's starting to gain a nice purple hue over many of the bud sites. There's no heat in my grow room, and its temp drops down to 62f-65f degrees (from 80f-85f max) and this strain is one that gains red to purple colors in colder climates (from what I've read), so that's cool...I'll show you guys with some pics tomorrow, PEACE!

Day 72 total, Day 42 12/12 (end of week 6)...Hey everybody, she's definitely turning purple! By the guide, I have about 2 more weeks to go, but I'll be going based off the trichome color anyway...just using the dates as more of a guideline. Anyways, here are the pics from today. She just finished her 6th week. This stran has a very short (average) flower time of 56 - 70 days or 8 - 10 weeks, so we will have to wait and she how soon she ripens up. Just noticed some swelling, but she's got alot more in her...and now PICS, PEACE!

No more nutes starting today...only water and a little molasses is all she's gonna get from now till harvest! Also, every bud site is purple at this point....really busy so, ill upload pics later if I can! PEACE.

Got about 2 more weeks to go...according to the grow guide I got with the seed, its 8-10 weeks max flower time, and she looks like shes gonna land somewhere around 9 weeks!

Day 75 total, Day 45 12/12...Yo everyone, shes really starting to swell now...but I want more. New pistil development has slowed down alot and I dont think Ill need to raise the lights anymore. Also, she's got about 40% red hairs now. I like alot of amber trichomes in the final product so Ill be flowering a little longer than most people! Thanks Buddy! I have no idea how much I'm gonna get yet (Im hoping for a min yeild of atleast 2oz). I haven't really thought about it till now I guess, but I'll definitely let everyone know the wet weight and the dry weight come harvest and dry time...stay tuned, it'll be soon enough.

that's a nice lil' grow you got going on there. another nice part about it - low electric bill right? what are you paying, like $30-50 a month to run it? that's awesome.

Im looking at my girls this evening which are a few weeks behind yours and the following advice would be most appreciated,

What width is yours atm?, I'm asking as I will be drilling holes in tomorrow to hang some hooks in the plasterboard for additional lights, as I am gonna have 2 girls I wanna have 3 strips of lights so roughly wanna space them correctly...

Hey buddy, its lights out right now ill measure it tomorrow, but I would estimate about a foot to a foot and a half of the top of my head! No more than that tho.

Like a 15 dollar increase when i had it on 18-6, but I only veg for 4 weeks so it only affected one bill cycle...dont really notice much of a change in the bill now that I'm on 12/12

Day 79 total, Day 49 12/12...End of week 7 today...she had another burst of new pistils the other day and I had to bend one of the budsites over to avoid the large CFL. She's yellowing from the bottom up quite fast since I stoped nutes last week, but I've read that this is normal...Here are the pics from today, tell me what ya think. PEACE!
