Day 19...Nice and steady growth, been having to give her about 16oz of water every 2 days now...I like to wait for the soil to become completly dry between waterings. I usually just pick the pot up itself, and if it has any weight to it, I hold off on watering. (just somthing I like to do to guage when to water her, seems to work well for me)...and here are the pics for today!

Just a couple things you mentioned there.......
As far as measuring how much water, I don't like to measure and limit myself.
I just watch for runoff, and keep going until I feel comfortable, but I always start at the outside of the pot, to make sure I have the outside saturated first and for sure, to make the roots reach out.
The other thing is, I like to wait and let it dry out like you said, but not dry dry, just close.
If you let it dry completely every time, I've heard that lets salt build up faster.
Here's something you're gonna laugh at.........
When I germ in the solo cups, I weigh an empty cup with just soil, then every 3-4 days start weighing my cup with the seedling in it until I get within about 5-10 grams, then I water.

Day 20...I went ahead and LST'd her about an hour ago! Took before and after pictures for you guys. I only wraped one tie around the main stalk (for now), and bent her over about 90 degrees. I'm now gonna wait for all the other branches to reach out from below the main stalk before I tie them down, probabaly in a few days. I know it looks messy, but after she spends a few hours under the light her leaves will reorient themselves, and she'll be all photogenic and perky again!

IME, about every 3-4 days, you can add a string to the new growth and pull it down to continue training.;-)

Day 22...I was busy the other day and didnt get a chance to post pics...here are pics from before and after the LST job. I only added one more tie to the main stalk to keep her growing horizontally. On friday I'll probably tie down all the other shoots using the same method. Also, I'll post pics of what she looks like today in my next post, as these pictures are from yesterday! PEACE

Day 27...been really busy with classes and stuff, so I haven't been able to update in a few days, sorry about that! I did not tie down the side branches yet, but I did add another tie to the main stalk...again! Also, I moved one of the lights over to the right. She has qucikly turned into a nice little bush now...I think I'll veg for another week (5 weeks total), then flip her over to 12/12! Here are pics from today, before and after the 3rd tie down of the main stalk.

Day 29...Got a nice and loaded update for you guys! First, I LST'd all the shoots this afternoon...got them all low, and spaced out somewhat evenly. Second, I'm gonna start her on 12/12 light cycle tomorrow for several reasons...mainly because I just want to, but also cause I got a good yeild from my last grow with the same veg time (4 weeks), and cause I have more feminized seeds that I want to germinate next! Also as I was tying her down today, I noticed that she has small preflowers shooting out as well! In the process of tying down the shoots, I actually expossed 3 bud sites (that I didn't know about) in the center, I just let them be for now because they were all really weak and there wasn't much stem to attach a tie to! SO...here are todays shots...again, I've included before and after pictures from the LST! I know it looks really sloopy, but I actually really carefully thought about where to bend and tie each shoot down at...by tomorrows post she'll be back up and ready to start making those buds!

Tomorrow I'm gonna switch the four 23watt 6500k bulbs for four 26watt 2700k bulbs...so instead of 321 watts, I'll be at 333 watts total (8 26watt bulbs @ 2700k, and 1 125watt bulb @ 6500k)...sorry, no pics today!

I never noticed a change in my electric bill, ever, and this is my 4th grow in the same area...I think having my PS3, t.v., and laptop on all day along with everything else (a.c., dishwasher, etc), drowns out the 9 CFLs at 333 watts. Also, I only veg for 4 weeks, so thats only one bill cycle that would have changed...she's on 12/12 now. Thanks for the concern tho!

Day 35 total, Day 5 flower....Hey all, been really busy with alot of shit, mostly classes and work! I've been told that I shouldn't count the first 7 days of 12/12 as the actual flowering phase, but as far as 12/12 light goes, she has been under her new cycle for 6 days now (these are pics from yesterday). Being Afghan Skunk, she has an average flower time of 60 days...dont know if anyone cares about all that, but im posting it here so I can keep my dates in order. Here are pics of her from yesterday, not a lot of action yet, but every budsite has a pistil or two, also there are 14 main bud sites with a posibility of 2 more stretching through...Peace!

Day 41 total, Day 11 flower....hey all, here are a few pics from today...was in a rush tho, so i'll take better pic tomorrow. I forgot to water her the other day, so she was a little dehydrated, but all is well now. Also, she's got a really good skunk smell going...If it were possible to live in the smell, I would!
