250*Watt CFLs OG Kush (1st Timer Need Info)

Hi everyone. This is my very first grow(but not from the seed).I took it from a friend. First, i want to talk about my first grow attempt: I bought 4 Blue Mystic Auto and 4 AK-48 Auto seeds. I bought FloraGro, pH stuff, and other stuff. I was realy excited. But couldn't make it... I had having struggle with growing autos in coco for 2 months. They all stunted because i used a branded coco-mix, It was moist in package and I just filled cups with it. Didn't know I have to flush it before use, so all my seedlings has died because of salt toxicity. (Found out that very late) I was about to going mad in this time. ''Why they're so slow?'' ''Will they go fast after a while?'' ''Maybe I should give some nutes?'' etc.. Than all my seeds are dead and I left hopeless..

One day I went to my friend's home, and saw this plant on window side. He doesn't know about growing. He told me his friend gave him the seed and it is OG Kush and it is 1-1.5 months old. But it was very small. (First Pic when i got it)) He told me I can take it if i want to take care of it. So I did. And quickly went to home using back alley. I came home with a new HOPE. thx for reading

I Transplanted it to 50-50 CoCo-Perlite mix (this time Flushed before)
It started pre-flower 10 days ago. I dont know how old is she exactly. And dont remember the day I got it.

My Questions.
1- I want to know. How much nutes i should give her for this stage. I have GHE FloraTrio, Cal-Mag.
2- I want to grow him more wide it would be? or it cant be because veg stage is over? (Its not an auto so i guess i can make it bigger and bigger as long as continue 24-0 light, right? and would it worth?
3- how many grams a plant this big can produce min-max, if i go 12-12. (I need to move place 2 months later, Max 15 day later must have change to 12-12 assume it will flower in 45 days.)

And please give me any other info i'd like to know. Thank you.

If I were you, I would wait until you move and start over with soil. Soil is pretty easy to learn.

I would buy feminized seeds online through bitcoin and ship it to you current address just before you leave. That way if you run into any problems with customs (which is doubtful) then you've already moved out.

You're right It says 55 days to flower for dinafem's og kush. So if i switch to 12-12 now, how many gr of buds it would produce you guess by your experience?
Even half of an ounce is fine for me. I could sell it for 300$ and buy stuff for a proper grow. And start over.

I was told single seed centre is good. They are who I will buy from next time. I always go for feminized seeds with a short height and short flowering time.

But if your using a 250w CFL (real wattage not equivalent), you need to switch to 2700k for flowering. You could maybe get anywhere from 7 to 28 grams. Depends on how much knowledge you have and if you can save that plant because it's not looking too good.

I couldnt make with autos so I am thinking doing same as you do. can you share me how long it takes seed to harvest, which strains is best and how many grams you get from it?
Have you ever tried 12/12 from seed and how was it?

I have 6x23W 2700K and 5x23W6500K total 250 real watt. I heard that 2700s for flower but wattage is more important than spectrum when it comes to weight.

Isn't it looking good why? What can i do for it?

No need for a tent.

Buy a few of these (I would get them from your local hydroponics shop; they come with 125w 6400k CFL's) and then buy some 2700k bulbs for flowering. You can mix spectrum in flowering like I did with some mogul socket cords .

If you decide on CFL, I've come to learn .25 - .5 grams per watt on the first grow. Then .5-.8 grams per watt on the next grows.

HPS is more efficient; LED is most efficient. Its whatever you can afford.

For soil I use Fox farms Happy Frog with 33% perlite. It has nutrients for two weeks. Then if i leave it in a container for longer than 2 weeks; I use Fox farm Grow Big nutrients during veg and Fox Farm Tiger Bloom nutrients for flower.

Get a PH meter for $40 bucks if you don't already have one.

The upfront cost for growing is the hardest part. Once you get all the proper equipment you will get some good yields.


For your current setup: your plant looks droopy. Could be stressed or overwatered or under watered. And it's growing tall. I would top it so it grows wider and wait one-two weeks, then switch to 12/12 since you are moving soon.

I veg for about a month plus a week if needed. In my 3x3 space I could fit 4 plants or 2 plants with a scrog.

Flowering time: my strains say 6-8 weeks from the flip, but they could take up to 10 weeks. It really depends on the trichomes, they tell you when their done.

That kind of cfls expensive in here and it would cost me almost same as an 300WHPS, if i order from amazon. thx for the advice tough. I think ill buy an 300W HPS when i moved. Dont know the grow place yet but will figure it. There isn't FoxFarm products in here, we dont have any hydroshop neither. For soil i have 2 options except i made it myself. Biobizz light or allmix. I have a pH meter. But my pHup is the one for fishtanks and its not well stable. Ill buy normal pH up and down.

Its not under or overwatered I weight it before watering.
Probably the heat stressed her, cfls were too close in a very small space. Is there any chance I am giving them too much light for their size? Is there a thing ''giving too much light'' actually i am asking.

This is the latest photo of her, took it half hour ago. I am not giving nutes her for 2days because of dark green leaves. Only plain water with pH range 5.6-6.3 with small doses.
Actually I was thinkin topping to even created a thread about it. I couldnt find the exact spot to cut because my plant isnt straight/symetrical can you show me the exact spot with editing this photo and repost it please.

I did the Blue line myself just in case I fucked up.

I use Iso alcohol (90% or 70% will do)
Idk about cologne.

If I was you I would top every shoot that would make it wider and give you more bud in the end or tie some of them down I bend mine so the lower top grow up and even with the main colas

You can see I lst the main tops and also I let the side ones get even with them then I tied all 4 down now the lower ones are getting light

Thanks chuckie86 . My plants structure is very occasional and stems are very weak. I topped and bend it . I made a plan of how i want to grow it. What you think about it? And how is my bending?

Should i cut some of leaves like you did? which has tip burns from heat.
or should i trim the biggest fans? there are 3-5 of them covering the most of top of the plant

Just tuck the fan leaves under the other tops if you can. I don't cut fan leaves unless I absolutely have to.

Yea I usually tuck them under and if I can't I usually just cut the tips off and only what needs for better light don't cut to much
