anyone have any issues using single controlled vs a dual controlled unit?
i'm looking at powers plates but they only have single controlled.
powers plates + low temp both stated that they do not notice a difference in quality or yield w/ single vs dual controlled plates.

I still want to upgrade to a dual controller. The having to touch the plates together for a minute every 3-4 squishes slows me down, but other than that, no problem.

Wut up brotha?

That top plate keeps getting hotter and hotter if I keep just squishing away. Slows me down a little touching the plates, but like i said no biggie. Squishing flowers. Squishing cons isn't as big of deal as the plates get super close every squish.

cool.....I think because of the design of the HF press (there is a large hollow tube between the plates & the bottle jack) heating the jack is never an issue on mine...

Yeah, totally dude.

I can totally see that. The ram on my press, even though a piece of leather inbetween it and the top plate helps with the longevity of the ram, it just totally extracts heat different(less)than the bottom plate. plus heat rises so.

I might try and put the thermocouple on the top plate. I wonder if that could help my situation

Can someone in this thread give me a list of materials I need to start pressing?

I also need some advice on what press to get, what plates, thermocouples, etc.

Budget is under $1000 for everything.

Much appreciated!
