This morning, I did a nice watering w/ vinegar and molasses, as usual. The Top44 was looking grand, as usual. The Citral was looking thirsty, but decent in its 91 degrees. :( I need to move that one.

Also, my Citral AND Top44 seeds sprouted, so I took them and my 2 germ'd bagseeds (out of some 50-60 seeds) and planted them in new cups in the flower tower. The newbies got watered, too. I'm thinking I should see some movement in a couple weeks. :) I'm SO jazzed!

Why does this all take so long?? :)

May I ask wat the vinegar is fer? Is it fer yer pH? Ya arent usin too much, are ya? I dont know why yer plants are so small @ day 19, looks like ya got a definite prob. Yer stealth looks gr8, tho. Wats wrong w/ozone generators? I was gonna buy 1, because of good reviews. Cud ya give me some pros/cons?

Thanks for stoppin' by, Where. :) I think my babies are tiny because of the time they were right on top of the light. That's my best guess. They seemed to be heavily stunted at that point. Growth stopped lickety split and didn't resume for some 10 days, I think. They've both started growing slowly again.

The vinegar was for pH, yes. When I added it (and the molasses), the stunted ones started growing again.

As far as the ozone goes, the pros.. it stopped my whole house from being smelly in maybe 2 minutes.. tops. I have it positioned about 20 feet away from my furnace, so.. when the heat or ac kicks on, house unstunk FAST. The BAD.. I felt sick 5 minutes after it turned on. My sinuses were shot and my athsma went bonkers. Also, the smell is VERY hospital-ish. From what I understand, cops are trained to smell it. That being said, I survived dinner with a cop at my house. And this dude doesn't like me a whole lot, either.. plus he knows I'm a burner. The thing works. Reading about ozone on the internet, it has a tendancy to aggravate respiratory systems. I have respiratory issues, but still.. I kept it because IT WORKS FAST. My carbon filters do the job, but the ozone is staying in case I have an unexpected visit during hardcore flowreing or such.

5/6 cups in the flower tower have seedlings. The one Top44 I I started with, a new Citral, another Top44 and 2 (high quality.. like 1 seed in a qp) bagseeds. The other bagseed sprouted, but is having trouble getting up. The Citral in veg. is fine, too, but it may need to flower, as I'm not sure it fits in my plan anymore. We'll see.

I was thinking ti'd be nice to just "perpetual mom" my setup, so.. snip tops for clones, use the veg. chamber to veg the clones until I harvest the flower tower, then have clones ready and maybe even lst'd in cups ready to go for the same day I harvest. That's 6 cups per case and makes it easy to organize or swap in new strains, etc. Of course, I'm shot on trying Diesel Ryder indoors, that way, but I may grow that outdoors and seed it on purpose, in truth. I'm thinking of that strain more for guerilla more than anything else.

Bah.. pics next update, I hope.

Hey ER
Glad you got all the cups full :)
The mom & clones idea sounds like a good plan. Clones in a sog should give a perfect canopy. Can't wait to see it.
That Diesel Ryder sounds like a real stinker! I think I'll give it a miss :)

TY very much fer gettin back to me on that, brah! If I plug the ozone generator in right in front of my window, wud that be likely to reduce/eliminate the potential respiratory issues (I share the same-like), do ya think? Also, wat/if any noise dose it create? Lastly, do ya believe that a deodorizer that isnt strong enuf to cover mary, may be able to cover the ozone smell? TY fer the answer, srry to add more q's, I'll +Rep ya again wen it'll let me!:weed:

The ozone generator I got is very quiet. What I did to avoid the ozone smell was just light candles. And.. the feeling of the ozone is like everything is dry as hell.. sinuses, back of the mouth, tongue. Like.. painfully dry. That's why it's emergency use only for me. I showed my wife where it was and told her to just push the button if it happens to stink and someone's coming over.

My last of the cups in the tower sprouted! It had a chunk of hard wood over its head keeping it down. I moved that a little bit.. just un-stuck it last night.. and this morning, that new seedling had moved the woody piece on its own! Now, I'm just praying that none of my bagseeds are massive sativa females. Anything that's huge will need to get guerrilla'd, which will suck balls. If I weren't trying to sell my house, I'd just put them in the backyard.

The first Top44 is getting really bushy underneath. The first set of fan leaves burned and are almost dropped off and I snipped the burned tips off the second set fans, since I read that a clean cut will sometimes prevent them from dropping the leaves. I'm hoping that thing can flower normally.. Maybe I'll end up with one gigantic fat, short lollipop! :)

I'm holding off on pics until the n00bs are up a bit more. Sorry, guys. Just boring words for a bit. The other plants are still tiny and growing painfully slow. I'm sure the temps on them when they were up against the lights was 100+. Glad they're not dead, really.

More thinking about strains. My wife has some chronic pain, but also anxiety. I have anxiety issues, too. I've been reading shit-tons of strain reviews and trying to cross that with what's available fairly close. My top choice was Grape Ape, as it's known for both issues, medically and is fairly short in stature, from what I've read.. not to mention it looks fuckin' fresh! :) I dabbled with the thought of trying the Diesel Ryder, but that's really not of medical benefit to us, as far as I can tell. Then, I stumbled upon something that's available on this continent and good for both.. White Russian. Not only is it small enough to grow in the cases, but it's got some 22%+ THC and is available within driving distance for me! YAY! I will pick up the Diesel Ryder and the White Russian, but will save the Diesel Ryder. My intentions with that are to grow it outdoors and seed it so I can self-perpetuate. I just LOVE that Diesel taste, too! :)

OK.. 'nuff for now.

More boredom. I think the last bagseed was stuck too long. It had the seed stuck to it and hardened down.. couldn't get out. So, I tried to pop the seed top and I think I severed the taproot in the process. If it recovers, it can get that top off, now, for certain. Only time will tell.

In other news, my older plants are yellowing a bit on their lowest leaves. The low leaves are drooping a bit, too (new growth looks erect). I think I need a better ph tester for my water and no more vinegar / molasses for now. Time to go straight water next time.

Sorry to hear about the decapitation. Those skills are better used later on in the growing cycle. Much later on!
I find that young plants don't like to be jammed under the lights. They seem to prefer to acclimatise so introduce the light slowly. They just seem slow to you cos you see them every day. I'm sure they are doing fine.
Yellow leaves are telling you something so I think you are right to cut out additives for now. As long as you have some green left in the round leaves or they are in soil that contains food there is no real reason to add anything other than a ph stabiliser.
Get some pics up when you get a chance. Obviously I want to laugh at your efforts after you shamed me into showing off the indica, but maybe we can work out when you should start to feed or spot any early problems too.

HAHAHA! I love your indica, man. Nothing at all to be embarassed about, in my opinion.

In other news, I think I may toss my seedlings in the veg. for a bit and toss my 1st citral into flower. Those early plants seem so damned stunted that I may as well. Anyone have opinion on that? Maybe I'll have better luck with the new seedlings.

Throwing them into flower does seem to stimulate them. Maybe that's the tonic they need.

So, I went to the local hydro shop today for a pH tester that's better than my stake 3-way meter. I talked to him about a few things.. mentioned that I wanted to test pH because my leaves were yellowing. He said, 'top or bottom?' I told him 'bottom' and he gave me sage advice.

I'm using MG Organic Choice soil. Do you know what certified organic soil doesn't have in it that "normal" soils do? If you guessed "NUTRIENTS!!" you win the big prize!!! My plants are starving of N and decided to eat their own leaves.

So, I walked out with FF Grow Big (I already have FF Big Bloom) a pH kit and a new timer to go from 24/7 veg to 18/6 veg. I mixed up nutes and checked my pH.. 6.5!! Money! Then, I fed my Citral.. which I flip flopped again on. I will not be flowering her. As soon as the others wake up, it's food time! The seedlings get agua for at least another week, though.

I love my hydro shop! :)

Yeah.. I'm a douche! :) Hey, WITHAI.. you think that could explain my unreal tiny plants? Although, the Top44 could start being bent. It looks smaller than it is due to the missing lower fans. Also, my nodes are TIGHT on those. Any reason? Lack of N with adequate light means no stretching?

Yes, but that lack of stretchin is not from the desired way ya wanna go about it! A person can be real thin (desired by too many lil-boy body lovers in MY country), by depriving themselves of food. A lack of food makes a person malnourished due to a lack of vitamins and nutrient. Plants are the same way. Yes, ya may have shorter plants, which we all like in small spaces, however, due to the lack of nutrients, the plant wont be STRONG. Therefore, it will be more prone to insects, disease, stress, etc. Ya wanna start usin nutes. Start @ 1/4 the recommended dosage. I wud strongly advise that ya use B-1, as well as SuperThrive. Use 1 drop of each per gallon fer yer first 2 feedings, then use 1 tsp of ST, and 1 TBSP of B-1 fer yer 3rd feeding (all the while givin nutes on every other feeding startin w/1st) then flush. After that flush, ya shud be ready fer full strength nutes, as well as droppin yer B-1 fer a month or until ya transplant (whichever is first). I also continue to ST, but @ 4x's the rec dosage.

OK.. my Top44 that got nuted looks like its bouncing back already, thank god. Also, it's almost ready for some training, I think. It can almost reach the side, now, and its stem is still a bit pliable, so I may kick its ass a little bit tonight and hope for the best. :)

The newly 18/6'd (from 24/0) Citral seems to be doing bad still. The leaves are totally blanched. Bottom ones are almost white, now. :( It's still growing like a.. uh.. weed.. so that's good. I suspect those bottom 2 will drop off, though. Damn, she looks so pretty.

Seedling update.. the helmet one is freed (I ripped its shell off, as it was clearly suffocating) and some nice green was exposed. Here's to hoping it lives. It's in 18/6. The other seedlings look fine. They got watered w/ molasses today. The 2 bagseedlings look very odd. Their leaves are very jagged. One of them, the seed looked like a tan leaopard print.. it's leaves are really serrated with some twisting. It looks like an MC Escher painting or such. :)

I'm a bit curious about my plan to clone Citral, as the plant seemingly grows more like a ruderalis. The pics I've seen of Citral grows have been just one massive bud coming up like a dagger out of the soil. Not a lot of branching without topping and things like that. Maybe I should top the shit out of my one in veg. as soon as its recovered from its nute evils.

Quick note. I looked in on the babies tonight and the Top44 is doing GREAT. Color is coming back to those leaves and I even LST'd. It seems to have some nubs by the 2nd node fan leaves that are popped up. Its third node has 4 fan leaves, too. This thing is supposed to bush like mad. Looks like it's trying! I'll try to get pics up later tonight.

The Citral is doing so-so. It's growing tall like crazy! Those 1st node fans are gonna drop, I think. Oh well. Less weight to care for. I guess the plant knows what is too expensive to support.

The seedlings look awesome, too. They're all starting to get 2nd nodes! :)

I can feel the excitement building. Sounds like you got it all going on there ER :)
With the tall one, I'd start the LST there too. I need to keep them really short anyway, but it does get those sidebranches growing earlier too.
