I don't believe you guys. It's a tourist destination for us!
Imagine what it's like here!
yes we have amazing weather year round in miami, but the people here are strait up assholes sometimes. Its a great place for a vacation but try living here, youll see what i mean. I do feel sorry for all you guys in the cold parts though. Now that i think of it i dont think i would survive the weather anywhere else, im used to 75degrees F being cold.

I used to watch Miami Vice years ago and drooled at the place, but I guess I was just looking at the eye candy extras and the cars. Come to think of it, all the dope dealers did seem to deserve to go to jail. Maybe you're right :)

I'm not a huge fan of FLA either. I have family there and have been there a billion times on vacations. People think I'm an idiot, but I'd say that w/ 4 ft. of snow in my driveway, too. :)
Nevertheless, thanks to both of you Floridians for popping in. Looks like there are some cool people there.

Anyways, I have some pics this evening. I even included the crazy ass bud cloning nonsense. Again, I DO NOT EXPECT THIS TO WORK. Calling me nuts is a waste of time. :)

Oh.. I should also note that SOMETHING is happening in that freak cup. Walking into my house, it smelled STRONG. I have cut up some weight in this house before, but NOTHING has made my entire house reek. I'm imagining that could be a sign that it's actually trying to live. I made sure to take a very long stemmed nug and strip it clean for several possible spots to stimulate growth. I'll take the scent as a decent sign, but still not confident. :)

thats wierd you said the bud in the cup made your house reek. if that works i think you would be the first to do it.

Thanks, guys. :) As I said, I saw another old guy who went to school for some 8 years on horticulture and had decades of MJ grow experience that said he did it. I'm just a n00b hack, but this stuff was SOOO fresh. I got it on or near day 1 of release, so it's only a few weeks chopped. Pray with me.. (LOL)

Great pics and some real nice handywork there ER.
Love the attitude too. 'It'll never work but I'm doing it anyway'.
Got my fingers crossed it works out.

Thanks fellas. Interesting enough, part of my morning routine is going downstairs before the sun is up to start the coffee. Well, I usually go check on the babies at that time, too. Well.. today, I had to go back down there a second time after sun up. Guess what? That reek from the cup only happened when the sun was up. I think this baby is trying hard to grow. I figure if I can get a little bit of root action and into dirt, that maybe I can re-veg. Damn, that would rock. :) Babies got watered today, too. No nutes, no molasses yet. The leaves on the Top44 are completely green again, since I moved them back away from the lights. The heat must have been stunting them a bit at their frail young age.

I need to put some plastic over the cup to keep moisture in. It's too dry in my house for that bud to stay moist for long.. unless it starts gulping water.

for sure you need something to keep it humid thats the only way it can get water without roots. even if it doesnt work you still got a bud to smoke... haha. great to hear you babies are green again.

So I get home today from the hydro store.. got some fox farm nutes, got a ph / light / moisture meter, got some ona cuz the house still reeks during the daylight.. and went to check up on the babies. The Top44 is getting big, actually. The little leafs are all fat. I will need to transplant asap, as the dirt is WAAAAY down in the cup and there's no stem to come up on. Its stature is VERY short.

The good news, though.. my bud actually has 2 roots sticking straight out to the side from another little budsite. Not just a little, either. I dripped a little water onto the bud itself, as I have literally nothing to cover it with until tomorrow. I am still not counting on this, as I'll need some slight leaf growth and more roots before I'm ready to put it in some dirt. Maybe I should put it in some of those hydro balls or rock wool. Honestly, although the bud was dry, it was still pretty spongy for a bud out in the open in winter. Generally, shit shrivels up FAST at this time of year in my region. Please, GOD, that would kick ass. I will definitely try to get a picture asap if it's still 'alive-ish?' tomorrow. :) For the record, I had smoked nothing all day when I saw the roots.

That's just amzing ER.
You will do well with your cloning setup for sure with skills like that. I think you're right wetting the leaves a little as the bud needs to foliar feed until it gets viable roots. Sounds like that won't be long though!

Don't have faith just yet. Even with healthy ficus clippings, they sometimes shot out roots and then just d dried out.

And please.. this is not skill. Pure luck is more like it.

Yes, pics as soon as I can. :)

Side note.. I added soil to the Citral and transplanted the Top44 to a new cup. THAT was a nightmare. When I tipped the cup upside down, a whole mess of the dirt just crumbled out and fell all over the place leaving me with a pile of dirt and exposed roots in my hand. I managed to get it all set and watered, but the plant is stressed. Yellowed leaves. :( Hoping it pops back fast. The citral seems a little stressed from the added dirt up its stem, too. It's SO much smaller in stature than the Top44. FUN!
