  • for a while and then i seen my buddys, they were doing better on 18-6 so i switched. and only used 2700k bulbs. but when i went to flower i was lucky enough to aquire a 1000hps.
Best advice I can give you on a seedling is to not worry to much. They often look a little battered or off in the start but they straighten out once they hit that vigorous growth stage.

pH fluctuations just make the plant grow slower cause its a minor shock.
My bad I meant basic I always get pH scale backwards for some reason. I think that 9 is acidic and 0 is basic just cause of my logical assumption but in reality 0 is acidic and 9 is basic. Again, my bad. At least I pointed you in the right direction of your pH being off.
I recommend getting a digital pH meter. They're like $20 on ebay and worth every penny. You should check and adjust the pH of EVERYTHING that goes into your plants.

Vinegar is a good pH down...baking soda is good for pH up, though it contains some additional salts (not that big of a deal though).
and vegging with 2700k is fine i do it all the time u dont need one or the other but you could mix the two for better results
and the one bulb is fine. that soil with all the bark is very hard to ph down. u should try the mgs flower mix with alittle add nutes. it will get ur plant threw the first weeks with out any additional nutes. these guys telling you to get all these lights are sorry stupid.
I use General Hydroponics PH Up and PH down. They are about 8% a piece maybe cheaper if you shop around. I know there are some house hold stuff that you can use like lemons. I not to sure exactly on what to use for up or down. I would start a post and see what you come up with.
It will work I would just change them out as soon as you could, maybe even go to a HID bulb or T5s. Yes putting them outside during the day would def help a lot, sunlight can never hurt your plants.
If you are still in veg i would try to go with a bulb that is closer to the blue spectrum. Like 6500K or around that number. A red spectrum is better to be used on flowering plants, 3000K. As far as watering almost every day may be a little to much. Wait for the top of the soil to be dry, then stick your finger in the soil if you get past your first knuckle and it is still dry then add water. When I was using 2 gal pots I was adding water ever 4-5days and that was under a 400watt hps. Also check the water you are adding to the soil. If the PH is to low or high it can cause slow growth.
You can flower under floro, but you won't get as good results as you would if you use HPS. If you use floros switch to all warm floros in the second week of flowering, and add more lumens
Sure you can veg with florescent; I did for many years. Plain cool/warm 40w tubes staggered. 8' tube would even be more efficient is you have the space
