  • Hey my man..I'm new here..I like your idea on your closet setup and pullin the doors off..
that shit had me cracken up and it is exactly what I'm going to do with mine, panda film and all..
    I'll start with a 600 watt lighting system..Ive got 3 ft wide 61/2 length and 10 to 12 tall..
What's the size of yours..Do you have any picks of your set-up? and also I was wandering if you had any humidity issues..
and i got a little seedling and over the past 10 or so hours the cotys are pointing up...its super rich green, the lights are close, and the pH is good.

any reason the cotys should poke like that? i think its cuz it does not have to stretch out to get light...idk...love the help and im guna rep u again. thanks
hey i know i really appreciate the help. do you think the "shock" from the fluctuating pH could make the leaves point up like that?
hey man, u said the leaves were pointing up because of acidic soil, but i tested the runoff, and my tap and they are 8.5+ off the charts
Get the pH test strips that they sell at pet stores and pool supply stores. I use the ones that are for your pool. It checks pH, chlorine and some other shit on 50 individual strips. You dip em in the water and wait 15 seconds and compare to the chart. Cost me 7 bucks for 50 at my local pet store.

Also to adjust pH you can get shit called pH up and pH down by General Hydroponics. To adjust pH you need to use something that has a buffered solution. The products I just mentioned (pH up and pH down) are buffered solutions meaning that they will keep the pH stable not just fluctuate it for a short amount of time.

Some people will say you can check pH like you said and that you can adjust pH with eggshels and coffee grounds ect, but honestly just take my advice and get the good shit man. You want to not slack on this part of your grow. Trust me, I have done this.
no ive never checked it. i read online you can get a ballpark figure using vinegar and baking soda

if not, whats the cheapest meter i can get? i found one for 8 bucks but someone said no.

and the cheapest way to change ph? i dont want to make a big deal out of it, but i def dont want to waste my time, thanks alot man!!
