Cool tubes are the answer...you can put those babies so close to the light! Check around for the thread that show the 400w cool tube standing vertical in the grow room. Very impressive!

Nice! I agree, started outdoors, they are very hardy plants. But indoors, once they are started there, cannot just go directly from inside to outside, even if they are more mature. Lighting becomes important, because unlike outside, your lights can BURN your plants. Sure is a great thing...

Use flourescent lighting, the macro setting, and a stand for clarity. That is all you need for professional quality digi photos.

This is the safest approach. The light concentration of lumens per sq/ft is so drastically different from outside to inside that it is better safe than sorry.

Don't sweat the hardliners...go with AS BIG a pot as you can afford, and the sun will reward you.
