Do I Move the Plants Away from the Light after Misting?

my plants were started outside and are about 10'in - 1 ft. now
just today i put them under a 1000 watt

i just misted the leaves and am wondering if i should move the plants away from the light after doing so  ( was told that you dont mist when its too hot)

thank you to anyone taking the time to reply to this.

how high is the light? if you started them outside, the light should be three feet for a couple of days before you drop it down... Raising the lights when you mist or foliar feed is recommended.

This is the safest approach. The light concentration of lumens per sq/ft is so drastically different from outside to inside that it is better safe than sorry.

Misting your plants under strong lights can burn them. Raise the lights til they dry then drop them down again

I don't even mist my indoor plants, and I have great harvests (I have pics to prove it) If you have to raise your lights up just to mist them I just wouldnt do it. When I bring my plants in from outside I beat them with 1000w lights. Nothing's stronger than the sun. If your plants are hardened off to the sun, they could handle 1000 watts at 12" away easy. 18" if your hoods aren't vented. If you mist them with water its cool anyways. oily stuff will make your plants burn.

I'm doing a 6000w grow right now and I brought them in from outside and my plants are like 6" from the light right now and they've been in there for a week and look fine. I'm 99% confedent that if I went and sprayed them with water right now they would be fine.
