Does anyone do the 24 hour dark when they switch from 18/6 to 12/12? And if so, what does it do?
it accomplishes very little, just keep your lights ON time the same and change to 12/12.Does anyone do the 24 hour dark when they switch from 18/6 to 12/12? And if so, what does it do?
huh???????when your flushing however, do 3-4 days of darkness after the first week of flush. ull see alot more tricombs
couldnt be further from the truth24 hr dark before 12/12 switch is 24hr delay of progress.
i dont think its that, cause if u watch the weeks, ur off already, the bud will tell u when its ready. but knowing the sex of a plant if growing from seed is very important. you want to know whats male and female asap, dont u?Anyone who uses 24-36-48 hrs of darkness before flip is impatient. Do you really think it is going to save a couple days when you are going to have to wait 8-11 wks anyway.. does it even matter by that time? like.. "Good thing I gave her 24hrs of darkness, I can harvest on monday instead of thursday"
there is no point of complete darkness before flowering.... in nature, the hours decrease as the season progress... theres never a total darkness. if you mess with your photoperiods too much u will just hermie your plants. best thing to do is just to flip it to 12/12 and let it finish
Way to contradict yourself in consecutive posts. Where in nature do you get 3-4 days darkness? I do 36 hrs dark before flipping to flower, I feel like it lets the plants know it is time and saves me a days worth of electricity. If anyone uses yellow bottles nutrients, they also say to give them 36 hrs dark before going to flower.when your flushing however, do 3-4 days of darkness after the first week of flush. ull see alot more tricombs

So I started a hot debate this time. It looks like an even split of people who do and people who don't. The people who do are the only ones who have a reason why. And what are these yellow bottle nutes?
