Arizona strains

You are correct. The plants will lean more towards the led only because it is more a "pure" light. Because of the mixed spectrum the plants seem to like it. BUT you will never be able to compete when it comes to the yield aspect. I've seen a few led grows recently in California and I must say the plants look amazing! But even they were telling me they wish they never switched over completely. they have saved a lot more money in energy but in turn it is about the same cost because they are now producing left. As a result, the owner of the warehouse said he wish he would of not been on the ban wagon for the LEDs and in turn done more research. They are now starting to run both hps with LEDs and have been telling me that it is truly the best. They get all the mixed spectrums from LEDs plus the intensity of the hps. Which, in the end, you get the outstanding colors in your bud plus the density everyone craves. I've seen alot of led grows and IMHO it isn't worth it to me to only run those.
I'm thinking the best lighting technique would be a hybrid of HID and LED maybe t5 I really like those sun spinners 6 different bulbs at 150 watts apiece seem so much more efficienthttp://www.google.com/imgres?q=Lifelight+sun+spinner&um=1&hl=en&sa=X&biw=1016&bih=639&tbm=isch&tbnid=a9itKg_F82w7WM:&imgrefurl=http://hanf.ws/cannabisculture/forum/rollituporg/107191-its-here-no-its-not-actually-the-revolutionary-plant-mover-rpm.html&docid=wvtko3yOiclSHM&w=470&h=135&ei=LYFdTo7SB8yBtgearLThAw&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=504&page=1&tbnh=56&tbnw=196&start=0&ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0&tx=74&ty=36

Hello AZ,

My strains:
Blackberry
Snow White
Wonder Woman
Blueberry K.
Smellyberry
N. Lights

I'm 40+ days into veg under 2 x 600watt HPS. Also, the bulbs aren't the cheapies. Keep temps between 72-79. I run light cycle 15-9; otherwise, the heat of the AZ blazing sun is too much for this place. Use foxfarm and some other organics as media. I keep the water PH at 6.0 - 6.2 and acids are a must because the tap has a PH of 7.3 here. Planting in 3-5 gal pots depending on the strain. When the lights come on tonight I will post some pics!!! BTW this type of communication amongst fellow mmj patients is OUTSTANDING!

I'm pretty bad myself. Dude I have fungus gnats, pisses me off.
Shitty, Beav! I would use anything OMRI listed or ladybugs... That's the price we "coco growers" pay. I read a high times article saying praying mantis are bad for cannabis gardens. Does anyone know if that is true? I always thought praying mantis were great for any garden.

What is cl? I personally cut my own clones. Can't trust people on their genetics they claim to have.
I was more or less trying to find new genetics. I am always on the hunt for new strains and I have yet to find the ever elusive "one hitter quitter". I wouldn't mind buying the clones but I would prefer to trade.

Yeah it sucks. I'm gonna try go gnats and sticky paper first.. Lady Bugs are a option if Go gnats doesnt work.

I wouldnt trust clones from craigslist or a disp. You dont know how reliable the genetics are or if they have bugs or diseases. Everything i have now is done from seed or people ive met on forums and talked to for awhile.

As for the fungus gnats, hit em with an insecticidal soap also, and a layer of perlite or sand on top will keep them from crawling out.
