Dude my Grandfather should be POTUS, but we can't get him to run ( he kinda getting up in age now, about to hit the 100)...and don't get me wrong I did want Obama in just as much as I didn't want McCain in ....It's because I gave both a chance to convince me and after all was said and done...I did not want to see McCain/Palin in that role..and I like voting for someone who has a chance of winning..if none are appealing I would then do as you say...I never always agree with any man..I find likes and dislikes in everyone...so I do my best to pick the one will help me more and hurt me less...I don't think either Mccain or Obama are evil

the politics sections has threads dating back to before the 2006 elections.

my challenge is for you to find your fellow right wing ideologues bitching and moaning about the debt bush was running up.

the challenge has been issued.

simply click on the "last" button in the upper right or click this https://www.rollitup.org/politics/index323.html.

i expect you will have no problem finding a litany of threads from fellow righties bitching and moaning about bush's unfunded wars, prescription drug plan, numerous debt ceiling increases, calls for default, revolution, and the like.

go!
You are correct, Buck.

There are no threads by Conservatives over the largest debt limit increase ($2.4 trillion) in the history of EVER which predate Obama. And this is the second time he's done it, which at the time was the largest increase at $1.9 trillion.

Before Obama, the debt limit increases were numbered in billions. Now it's trillions. So you will not find a thread complaining about a TRILLION dollar increase to the debt limit before the Messiah because IT NEVER HAPPENED. Satisfied?

And you are casting a wide net by focusing on THREADS, rather than POSTS. I suggest you fine-tune your search. Otherwise you will remain confused, more confused than a hungry baby in a topless bar.

The anti-Bush threads, which were legion, were mostly started by Progressives. Any agreement to those threads on the part of Conservatives would be found inside.

I try to vote on who is going to be the best person for the whole country, not just myself. It is in my own best interest to keep Obama for another 4 years. Since he got in office my wealth has nearly compounded by 10 times. He is like a bush Jr Jr. Every time I can predict with almost uncanny ability what the next move will be from these jokers. Start shorting the market, its going for a dive. Then the fed will step in and QE3 (or some other name for money printing) will ensue. More stimulus will happen. Inflation will start getting noticeable. The markets will rise, hopefully you dumped your shorts after the start of QE3. Election time will be here by then, youll have everyone pissing on your back telling you its either the dog or its rain. The BLS will come out with all sorts of great news, only then to silently revise downwards all their numbers a few weeks later.

Have you seen all the people that are in the administration? Wow, kind of banker heavy isn't it? How many from Goldman Sachs? JP Morgan? Those are the people who have everything to gain from the administrations policies. All you gotta do is figure out what is best for a banker and you can pretty much guess what the policy will be. Don't let the fact that Obama sounds like a great leader fool you, he isn't. Although I think he very much wants to be one, he is influenced too heavily by other factors. Bush was the same way, but he was an idiot so I think that worked for him.

I'm doing a thread search, too. I'm looking for a Bush-era thread where an indignant Proggie is complaining about the evil Overlord Cheney, and other prominent Conservatives; comparing dissenters of the administration to TERRORISTS.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0811/60421.html

I know why you Proggies are so angry.

When the Teabaggers first appeared, you ignored them confident they would go away. That did not happen.

And dismissing the Teabaggers as angry crackpots did not work either.

The suggestions that Teabaggers were violent did not work.

Even the race card, the old Democratic stand-by, fell flat.

Every attempt to marginalize the Teabaggers has failed.

They mopped up the floor with Democrats in the House last November. And the Teabagger Congressmen are doing exactly what they were sent to Washington to do.

Half the Donks in the House voted against the Debt Limit increase, too. Are you angry with them? Were they acting like TERRORISTS?

Terrorists. What happened to the Proggie call for civility in political discourse following the Arizona shootings?

This is my main issue with Obama... Too many bankers!

But would a Republican be much different at all?

You can have your victory lap now, and I hope you enjoy it, because Tea party "approval" is at all time lows - 32% - down from nearly 60% during the midterm elections and their "unfavorable" rating is at 48%, just as high as the Demorats and Republicans but with a lower approval rating... It seems Americans are realizing that the Tea Party isn't for them after all.

Obamas unfavorable rating is at 53% and Congress unfavorable rating is at 73%. Looks like the Tea Party is ahead. Polls prove nothing but what you want them to. for every poll you show I can show another poll that refutes your poll, and its usually done by the same pollsters. LOL, the reality s that this is all just one giant propaganda machine on spin cycle.

This is true to an extent, but the trend is clear... Americans have decided they dont like the Tea Party so much, ether. The 2012 election will be nothing like the 2010 midterm election... Obama will win, the senate may swing 1-2 seats leftward and I'd bet a good chunk of those house freshmen will be gone too; Many of them are in safe districts, but the ones who aren't will almost surely be replaced by a moderate Republican or Democrat - especially as the Republicans continue to give Democrats more ammo with their extremist positions. My predictions may sound a little rosy to you, but one thing is for sure - The Tea Party is losing momentum with voters.

I dont care to look for some post that was a nonissue 6 years ago, when it didnt look like our economy was riding a roll coaster off a cliff. 99% of people voted for Obama to be cool, bc of white guilt, or bc they are black. The man did not bring one single thing to the table. If there was an elementary level english/math/history test required to vote, no way in hell he gets elected. The sting you feel in this rebuke is the truth.
sting? truth?

LOL!

99% due to race?

HA!

a non-issue 6 years ago?

SNARK!

you have just proven my point. the debt was incredibly high 6 years ago, as it is today, and as you are so keen to point out, you feel that race is a huge component.

i promise everyone that i am not paying this guy to make it so easy for me.

again, trying to bring the subject to something that suits you better: anti-shrub threads. i'm sure i can find the term 'evil socialist kenyan muslim marxist antichrist' 12 times for every one of those threads you can find.

but i digress.

the subject was why weren't righties crying and yelling and screaming about the debt back when it was still an unimaginably high number years ago? where are the threads? hell, where are the posts?

i'd like to fuss and feud a little more, but i have a tee time. need to gas up the shit bird and make it out to the course.

protip: do not call a course "links" unless it has the characteristics of a links course, such as built near a large body of water, on sandy soil, with a lack of trees, and undulating fairways/greens, undefined transition from fairways to greens, etc etc etc.

because your argument is rather stupid ...you have zero proof to your claims..How the hell you know the reason why EVERYONE voted for OBAMA..sounds like you listen to Fox and Limbaugh with a mixture of Beck...

Wow, that's quite the list you rolled out there. You forgot to blame Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield, Laura Ingram, Palin, Ann Coulter, S.E. Cupp, James O'Keefe, Andrew Breitbart and of course the Koch brothers (whover the thell they are).

I know, I'll make a flaccid post that ALSO includes nothing but opinion, while accusing my opponent of the same. Then I'll list a bunch of left wing personalities (traitorous, subversive douchebags) and accuse him/her of actually listening to people they agree with... What a revelation!!!

Idiot.

I'll declare it proudly. Because of Glenn Beck I doubled my 401k and made a bundle on precious metals. What did any douchebag on MSNBC ever do for you financially. I haven't listened to or watched him in about a year because I can't take all the religious garbage. But that's the ONLY reason I stopped, not because he's wrong.

Every word out of Beck's mouth in the last 5 years has been worth ten times more than anything out of Olberman's, Maddow's and Matthew's festering pie holes. You might want to take a look at what happened today... the entire house of cards is collapsing...FINALLY.
