Surprised to see Hlg slumming it.

scared of what?

scared of a person who calls the cops on their customers? Yep you got me there, im usually weary of a person like that, anyone in our game should be. Not you tho, you jumped in head over heels for that shit, brilliant!!!

Scared of paying huge $$$$$$$ for shit lights? Nah wasnt scared of this, not stupid enough to be scared of this....Not you tho, according to your posts, your stuck with a pile of HGL door stops and no refunds, lol well played.

your memory is jaded, just like your posts.

You accused many of trolling your thread about those HGL lights, you cried and cried about it, even tho they werent trolling, they were just right.

Anyway, im done with you, i usually stay away from anything i see your involved with anyway, but now im gonna really stick to it.

Im a fan of your growing, always have been, not a fan of your posts, never have been

PEACE VICTOR AMARE AMARE VICTOR!!!!!!!

Give you a few more google hits bro, im that kinda guy!
Damn. Sorry you feel this way.
I think were both right to a degree & can end it there. No idea a SBS would make so many enemies. I took the risks, bot you guys.
Heard your warnings but was already in to deep.
Ok, guys I'm the worst. Can you get back to what ever the thread is about now?

Just stick to growing man, stay away from all the drama and constant shilling for Amare.. I personally think your just in love with amares lights, i have no issue with that, many of us are in love with what we own, in the broadview tho, it just looks like your constantly shilling. Many will have issue with this, as you have dealt with repeatedly with the non stop trolling.

Imo
Anyone who has ever visited your thread or seen your garden pics will want to know what lights your using, you can obv grow well. They would be stupid not to ask, but entering every LED thread with posts boasting about amare isnt the way.

Anyway, ill let you get back to it, ive spent more time on this than needed, i wish you the best of luck in all your endeavours!

Any company that doesn't conduct proper testing should not be given the time of day. There is no excuse you could possibly come up with for a manufacturer to refuse proper testing. A PAR meter is not a good way to test a product at all, If people accept testing using a cheap PAR meter instead of actual testing that has been done in a real sphere not a Chinese lying sphere then they have rocks in their heads.
Fully agree. An established commercial entity selling lamps should be providing specification sheets with data from qualified independant labs. All I hear from "experts" is that PAR testing is no good. But no matter how I word questions on how the average Joe can measure/test/compare, those "experts" go schtum.

A spectrometer and calibration lamp is ridiculous price. Only option that is even closely pocket friendly is a calibrated PAR sensor. For example, any PAR sensor worth buying in the UK, is just shy of £450 - 500. If people at Apogee in USA and Skye Instruments in UK woke up they would realise there is a viable market here and they could sell a lot more units if they priced accordingly. Not to mention the income they could get from calibration services.

You're right. I've been on a rampage lately. Unnecessary to go into such depth. When someone asks ill just refer then to my thread.
Point taken! Thnx!

I agree, a company like that should provide 3rd party testing, better website & mktg.
Also believe a good par meter is all you need to see the difference in 2 fixtures.

really keen on seeing this.
I've got a few in hand..... We are starting a hemp grow for R&D. Electrical is just getting started. We will have 7 flower rooms to start. Each with their own lighting. One will feature racks so we can show off the new fixture. 5 of the rooms will be rolling tables flood and drain. 1 Will be full organic soil grow. We have a partnership with a lab. We may even do soil microbe testing to see spectral effects on the rhizosphere as well.

The rack light is 40"X36" if that helps. Patent attorney has it now so hopefully in a few weeks we can start showing it of. I have several thousand drivers coming for it. It's also at ETL for certification. It is definitely different from everything else on the market for close proximity growing. Optimal mounting height is around 12"-15". I have seen lots of bar lights and most seem flimsy is to keep weight down. This light is a little on the heavy side at ~32 lbs but not horrendous. It has some really neat features to it. The price point will be below most of the competition and it's efficiency will be the highest around. There will be 2 models one that is ~ 2.8 umol/j and one that is 3.0 umol/j +. The lower cost one will be best efficiency around and be less expensive than most except straight out of china...... Which I'll never be able to compete with......

Color me intrigued! New product from HLG is always exciting.

On another note - a few of us have been wondering if the new 2835 v1 boards are a temporary product or if you guys plan to make and sell them long-term?

You are absolutely wrong, proper testing is the only way to check the difference between 2 fixtures and this can not be done with a PAR meter.
I can understand your misgivings for unknown product that has never seen the light of an independant lab for testing. In the case of a lamp marketed and sold for horticultural purposes, an independant test with calibrated test equipment should be a given.

This is predominantly a forum of hobbyists and home producers.

Any end user should be able to utilise the combination of good quality PAR sensor and multimeter to record and compare the output for comparative purposes. Perhaps explain your chosen equipment and methodology.

You claim to be industry experienced/allied yet you do not explain or offer alternative measurement options or protocol that the user base of these forums can simply and affordably utilise to measure - record - compare.

Are you saying forum growers should not use PAR photon sensors to measure - record - compare? The same sensors that are utilised at observatories and laboratories and by scientists all over the world?

people still dont know any better though.
I have to tell people their amazon blurple they just bought is trash nearly daily.
Always makes me think about how many people are out there just struggling along with blurples wondering why their shit sucks.
our local grow shop only sells blurples, I’ve overhead him telling customers how much superior they are to hps lights.

Its total insanity the amount of bad info being spread for a buck

The name, Quantum Board. Which HLG paid to trademark. Ever stop to think why, the knockoff sellers thought it would help them sell products, to slip that in there listings?
Yeah, but, why use the name quantum if it really doesn't describe something specifically unique? Just marketing BS, which grows lights have way too much of

Way back in 2014, Nick from BML was using single nm diodes in his SPYDR 600s, so nothing special there either

All this aside, your flower enhancing bars should be awesome

Honestly don't care if you buy it or not. Facts are facts bud. One thing you will learn around here is I don't fabricate things and on the occasion I accidentally misinform I admit to it.

What did Ford "Mustang" about a pony car or What did BEATS really do for headphones. It's called building brand recognition. Anyone else using it is just trying to catch the trademarks business period.
Neither of your examples suggest something scientifically unique, which misleads the ignorant buyer, suggesting you have a secret sauce

People should be using leds strips rather than boards anyway. Boards have very inferior spread compared to strips.

It's the same blunder as putting reflectors on COBs. Nonsense like those reflectors and boards comes about because people simply do not understand how to properly measure efficacy.

Unfortunately people only look at sphere tests and dream that all that light reaches their plants. Yet a poorly distibuted light will waste that light on the walls like crazy.

Ledgardner did a matrix test of a QB in a 60x60 (2'x2') tent and almost half of the light was gone. Absorbed by the walls. Although he didn't realize it. It's just staggering how bad these lights perform in small spaces. Yet they are actually adviced by people for small spaces.

That is cheap

I am saying that you can not accurately compare different fixtures with different spectrums using a PAR meter
