IMHO, in a greenhouse I prefer them to be in pots so if I need to I can maneuver the plants around if I have to. Personally, I always use seeds outdoors and I have always went with the paper towel method and dropped a tap root in the soil outdoors in the greenhouse. Starting indoors your going to have to harden them off, I can imagine that having to harden off an auto can have a major effect on yield due to possible stress and the lack of growth during the hardening off stage
There not autos there full strains?

Oh ok sorry, you said you had almost the same setup as me so I just assumed autos. I'm in Southern California so idk your sunlight hours, if your above 12 and half hours a day or will be above that within 2-3 weeks from now you could probably get away with some sativas outdoors right now.

If your still well below 12 and half hours a day then go ahead and start them indoors and throw them out when your above that.

Of course you could always use supplemental lighting, hook up some t5s and have it go on for an hr or two at the middle of the night to disturb it's sleep so you don't run into early flowering plants, that shit sucks haha.

Cool my hours will be over 12 hours in april i was thinking of having them in pots in the green house by mid april but when would my harvest time be then? Im use to a tent and timer switch haha but whats confusing me is people are telling me to start april and my crop shud be done by the end of August early september which makes no sense to me cause im use to veging for 30 days and flowering for 60 in my tent.

If you cover it everyday after 12 hours of light you can flower whenever

Ya but my main reason for going to get a poly tunnel is so I wouldn't have to go threw the efforts of making an artificial environment via lights or covers, was more or less thinking of letting nature do this one with the aid of just a green house I'm half thinking now of just cutting my losses and doing two plants indoors altogether if I still have to use lights and covers.

Growing outdoors is growing naturally under the sun, no induce flowering, nature just takes it course. Whenever your sunlight hours peaks out for the summer and starts going down is when flowering usually induces. Early july/August is when you start seeing nice preflowers from what I've experienced in the High Desert. If your in a rush to get a harvest, indicas finish up a lot earlier, but make sure your well above the 12.5 hour mark before even consider throwing an indica out.
